The body is due back from the blasters today. All the sheetmetal was bolted on and fitted already. Gonna make it a roller soon and then get to work on the outer body work. Doing this one a little different than I ussaully do. Planning on this being a 3 season  daily driver.

Looks good. Just wondering, did the 69's have the same headlight bezels as the 68's?  I've only seen them on 68's that's why I'm asking.

The bezels were a 68 only part. A lot of guys put them on the 69's though. Gives it a much more finished look if you ask me (which is why I'm looking for a pair for my 69).

I will agree with you that it does give a more finished look.  Just seems odd not to have put them on the other years.  Budget shortcuts I guess.

The plan is to use it as a nice driver and gather nicer parts as need over time. Then when my 3 year old is 15 or so he will have a nice car to do with what he wants, instead of being overwhelmed by a huge project. The best part is that I get to have one that's easier to enjoy for a dd.

A 3 season daily driver? Ah... ok. Uh-huh. Suuuuuure....
The parts look AWESOME, Brian! Doesn't look like it's gonna be a driver when done. Knowing you I'm sure it will be another awesome ride.

BTW, what did you use for the argent on the grille?

I hear what your saying about it being a driver. Im just trying to build it so its protected really well. I am going to try to prove all the nay sayers wrong and drive the heck out of it.

very nice. Nice engine test stand. Did you use stock gauges for the test stand?

Thanks. For gauges the stand has a set of aftermarket mechanicals.

I don't like that 68 headlight open bezel so much myself.  I don't know why, my fastback has that look to it but on the 1st gens you can select a headlight remain open option.  Can't explain it, just one of those weird preferences I guess?

Tell me what's the deal on keeping the misses happy?

If I would spend that much time with my cars I would probably need to find a sleeping place in my shop cuz my wife would kick me out of bed...... :-\

I also have a 2 and a 4 year old and I cant seem to spend more than 5 or 6 hours a week in the shop.....sometimes kinda  :RantExplode:
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Let me guess, you haven't been married long?  I'm single myself but been around enough guys to know.  Keep the Mrs. happy because she LETS you have your toys.  They're something to keep you happy and preoccupied with until she comes up with something for you to do.  That, and they give you a reason to go to the garage when she's not in one of her better moods.  Her version of a leash.

Been married 7 years this go round. She is very acceping of my hobbie as am I of hers. We each have things we do apart and we also have things we do together. My (almost) 4 year old loves cars is there helping me alot of the time.

No worries.  Have two kids myself and it isn't easy.  No one without a family in their house has any way to understand and each marriage will be different anyway, its always a compromise and you find the version that works for you.  If you don't, you either spit up or one of you dies inside.  When my kids were young I had one singe friend that would criticize me for not telling her hwats what and spending more time in the garage.  Now hes married with two little kids and just this past Friday kicked us out of his shop at 9pm because he had promised his wife he would watch a movie with her that night.
