bill440rt-I learned everything off you build. I shortcut you site to my computer and look at it everyday almost like you were my online mentor. I want to say thanks to everyone here for having a great forum.

Whoa!  :faint:
I am humbled, thank you. That is really a nice compliment to hear. Makes documenting the build very worthwhile, I'm glad I did it.
I had many "mentors" on here as well during the course of my build. Most of the members here are truly great, very helpful people.

Your car looks drop dead gorgeous.  :drool5:
Did I read that right? Originally green with a blue interior?? REALLY??? Do you have any pics of that?
That is an oddball creation. Dare to say one-of-one??  :scratchchin:

I've never heard of that color combo either.  Of course, who would have thought of putting green interior in a gold car?  Strange things happened back then, that's for sure :2thumbs:

thanks guys for the great compliments.  I do have a pic when I was my sons age with my dad when the charger was the original light green with a green vinyl top and blue interior.  I will get it from my parents and post it.  The funny thing about the green charger.  My dad is color blind and when he bought the car he thought he bought a blue charger.  After he was told it was green and he was told it was a ugly combination, he painted it blue.

Very cool that you get to restore your dads old car. It looks great by the way.

here is me with my mom when i was 2 and me when i was 8.  I am 40 now...  Notice the green on blue with a dark green top...Like I said earlier my dad was color blind and he thought he bought a blue car...later on he painted it blue because he got so much sh*t from the color scheme.

When do you expect to get the front end put on? Or is there more finishing touches that I just don't see yet?  Looks good from what I do see :2thumbs:

I'm finishing up the ac compressor then the front grill, bumper and valence will go on...hopefully by friday I should have it together.  Then the only thing is left then is bleed brakes, front and rear glass, finishing up welding exhaust and alignment. Thanks for the compliment.

I also put in for my new plates.  I got "WAS DADS"  My dad got a kick out of that one.

Looks awesome. You are doing a killer job. The Charcoal grey looks awesome. The green on blue is quite an odd color combo. I would of been half tempted to do it back to the original colors just because of how odd it is.
