Guys sure most of you know there is  Superbird going thru BJ tomorrow, OK lets see who has the best dart (little respect to the A bodies) guess as to what the Lemon Twist Hemi Bird is going to sell for at Barrett Jackson . This car was on ebay not that long ago, been tuned up since then, column auto?????,  market is in Limbo? good cars seem to still get few extra bucks, survivor 4 gear on ebay sold for $152??????. Barrett Scottsdale got $200 plus for a white 440 car (Opps)  My guess  is $198, think car deservers more but not sure if MONey is in the HOUse.

Table is open for wagers?????

I know the owners and if it don't make 200k + you'll see somebody puke on the stage. Where's the smiley for blowing your brain out at BJ? There should be one of those ya know.

FJ5WING

when is the yellow bird scheduled to go across the block?
wingless now, but still around.

Aero426

Looks like there are still about 40 cars in front of it, so it will be a while.

These guys have it. They do some nice work. They restored the "Maverick" factory lightweight super stocker.

$297K wow.
See if that 4 speed project hemi bird will bring more... :shruggy:

Time will tell..

LRTExpress

I agree with the wow, not sure if that number reflects general market , guy who bought it was there to spend some money.

JB400

BJ is just like going to a casino. It's just a place to get people all hyped up to spend lots of money for little more than just fun.  They just use classic cars like a slot machine and throw in a few pretty ladies as well.  Not too many of the cars sales actually represent what they're worth.

EXACTLY RIGHT!!!  :2thumbs:

Oh agreed, it's a total crap shoot.

Just like the EV2 Hemi bird at Mecum that went for low $ then the new owner flipped it on E-bay and got a lot more.
Never know what they'll bid to. But unfortunately since private sales figures are not published, what else can the average Joe go by?
I'll answer my own question -  EBAY  - and we know not all those bids/auctions are legit.

JB400

Considering the average Joe probably can't afford one anyway,  I say it's just a matter of what your willing to pay for one.  Goes the same way for any car I guess.  Basketcases I can get for $5-600 are priced at $10,000 in a place in Texas.

The guy who bought it was an unusual sort, who bought three high dollar cars totaling almost 3/4 of a million.   Won't be seeing that Bird at a car show anytime soon.

And there's the "ya never know who's going to show up at these auctions" factor....
Still someone had to bid against him...

Yep, there has to be two in the room.
