Mine has some battery acid damage complete with holes & rust. Fortunately, all of the codes are legible. So, where does one go to get a quality repro fender tag?

Ghoste

Back East.  (I think thats the name, they have a website)

moparstuart

The first one Stu posted is Back east.  If I'm not mistaken, that is (was) the place where GG gets his done.

yes back east I had them make 4 different tags for me and was happy with all of them
but he was an ass on the phone .  you will need the build sheet or the old tag some form of documentation for him to make a repop tag .

He must have been taking flak because at one time I don't think he asked for much proof of what the car really was.  I THINK that was the place anyway.

i think so  , because the other tags I was having made where fun clone tags and they are the ones he was being such an ass to me about . Even with me having  clone put in small letters in the corner

You would think he would be okay with that.  I know some of the FAST cars have cool custom fender tags.

Thanks for the tip. Now that I know the name, I remember that I did have him make a tag up for me about 20 years ago. I've made contact with him & I'm gonna "git 'er done".

So others can use his services, here's the website.....

Maybe Mytur ordered his on "Dudes with Scimitars and Giant Crazy Hats Get Tags for Half Price Day"?

If I'm a potential paying customer and a person on the phone from the business was an ass to me, he or she would NOT get my business. I've learned that I'm not here to be treated like a dog, especially if I'm going to buy from them and you want to yell at me? No thanks, don't need the part/service that bad. I'll take it elsewhere.

I had no problem dealing with him, but then again, I'm a hell of a nice guy.  :icon_smile_big:

I used to hear about people stealing tags. Has this problem gone away now if you can buy them?

charger_fan_4ever

I took down this info as i need a tag redone for my car. Pretty sure it was maxwell wedge that said Marti auto is used by a lot of high end resto shops and their price is in the same ballpark as the others.

I was surprised too a ford place doing mopar tags.

Ghoste

Obviously must be a lucrative business.

moparstuart
