Who is the best person to have rebuild/restore a 4617SA carb? What is the ballpark price that they charge?
I presently have an edelbrock AFB on my '69 440 4 speed. I don't care how it runs. It tends to have a hesitation off idle. Will the stock carb have the same problem? I have read that the Edelbrock AFBs all have that hestitation. I would guess the stock carb would not.

My carter AVS factory carb does as well.  Could be something that is worn inside the carb also.  Scott Smith of Harms Restorations http://www.harmsauto.com/.  Here are some testimonials on the sister site.  http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=82630.0
