Conceal carry permit

Anyone have ccw permit? What does it take to get a conceal carry permit? I'd like to get a S&W or GLock 9mm.

In Arizona I had to take 2 8hr classes and then do a shooting test at the range. Now in AZ you dont need a CCW permit to conceal. I took my test long before AZ passed the No permit needed. The good thing about having my CCW is many other states also recognize my permit.I have seen businesses in AZ that allow you to conceal on there premises only if you have a permit.

I've got an Oregon CWP and it required a 2-3 hr. class as well as a background check, fingerprints, etc., etc. Costs $50 to renew. You might check into getting something like a Utah CWP which is valid in several states. Washington is a bit more communist than Oregon believe it or not so you'd better check your state laws about how those multi-state permits work.

I've had my CCW for a long time but I am in Texas and do carry most of the time. It is usually not that hard to get your CCW permit, just time consuming filling out and sending in the application. Remember, at least here in Texas, the class you take is to cover the laws regarding CCW. You are already expected to know how to safely handle you firearm. Can you say .45ACP ?  I certainly can !

Like others said, look into the Utah. Other than that it's best to check with your states attorney generals office, they will have all the info you seek.

Pa is an open carry state but I have my permit for concealed carry. Typical residents fill out the form, pay 25 bucks, and wait 2 weeks fo processing, then go get photod and pick up your permit.

I have a lifetime conceal carry permit!!! (until the goverment takes it away) No gun classes just paid the blackmail.... I mean license fee.

I had a buddy his family moved over to Paris, IL and he was shocked when he went to the Wal-Mart to buy some ammo and they asked for a FOID card (he still lived here in Indiana)

Just one of the many reasons why I intend to downsize the fleet and move out of this state in the next

Here I can buy an assault rifle at Walmart with ammo and walk out with it right away.

Holy Crap Skip that is insane, here in Canada you need to show your  drivers license to buy a bloody pellet gun. The right to bear arms isn't anything we  have here. If we were ever invaded by a forgein country only the hunters with shotguns (no assault rifles) and deer hunters would put up a fight.
