Princess, our 15 year old Pomeranian, died last night after a short illness.  She had stopped eating a couple days ago, and had lost control of her bodily functions.  Last night, she could no longer move her hind quarters, but she held on until my wife made it home from work.  Princess passed peacefully around 10:30 PM.  Here is a picture of her from a couple years ago, right after a summer hair cut.

Losing a pet is almost as hard as losing a family member. So sorry for your loss.

That sucks.  Sorry.  15 years was a good run and feel lucky about that.  Definitely a tuff time in your house right now I'd imagine.    :pity:

Thanks, everybody.  It hit my wife and daughter (14 years old) the hardest.  I'm probably just in denial, but then again I knew it was coming; nobody else would believe me.

Im sure, you gave her a great life and she was happy to share her life with you, keep your chin up and be thankful for all the happy memories.

Cheers and thank you for loving your pet.
Too many pets get no love or attention.

Always a sad time. So sorry for your loss.
As I sit and write this my dog's sitting by my side with his head tucked in the crook of my arm. I consider myself blessed.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Dino

So sorry for your loss, I've been there and it's tough.  For what it's worth, thank you for giving her a wonderful 15 years.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

We did not have Princess for all 15 years.  She was originally owned by a lady with Alzheimers.  When the lady died, her daughter offered Princess to us.  The daughter knew her mother had Princess for 6 1/2-7 years when she died in 2004, and we had Princess ever since.  Because the dog had previously been around a lady, she became my wife's "shadow", following her everywhere around the house.  A more loyal dog we couldn't have asked for.

Sorry for your loss. Recently had to put a cat, and dog down. Certainly not an easy void to fill, but she's in a better place.  :'(

Sorry for your loss, in  our house, pets are family members.
