Here in Charlotte the Deep South Mopar forum held a Mopar only show this past weekend.   Though more slanted to newer Mopar's, there was still quite a collection of classics and a nice turn out overall.   Unusual for a local show...three 500's and a Superbird.   All cars talked about at one time or another on this site.

Here is mine to start.

'69 Hemi Charger 500, '70 U Code Challenger R/T
(These two and a bunch others at www.dkowal426.com)

"P. J. O'Rourke:  The old car ran perfectly, right up until it didn't."

3 500's?  You can't go wrong with a car show like that!

Your buddy's A4 may just almost unseat the 3 500's in my personal book.

Spectacular car.   Just gorgeous.   The color really works on the Charger, surprised they didn't build more like it.

I vaguely recall a gold 440-spd car changed to red in that part of the county back in the mid 1990's, curious if that is the same car.  The fella made/vended dash pads (with out dropping names). The stars aligned that day with three 500s, heck More times then not I am the only 69 charger (of any optioned charger) in show in my area.

i really like your blue.  I almost went with it on my car, but ended up with lunar yellow with crushed pearl.

COOL!  we have a long way to go yet on mine. but a lot closer than i been in years now.  The guys that are building my car took it right as the economy tanked and had to get real jobs. so it has been a while.

things left to do.

cut and buff the body
clear the doors fenders hood and trunk lid
install the ac box
run the new wire kit and adapt it to the car
detail things on the motor
restore the grill
install on the glass
interior

just a few things HAHA, but the good news is the guys are really after it now. this guy is really good and things are looking great! He sealed it with 4 coats of sealer, four coats of base, four coats of clear.  the bumble bee stripe was masked off and painted with the base and then cleared over.

Kowal I love the pic of your car next to the silver one as well.  Always always been a big fan of the Charger and heretic that I am I much prefer them over the Daytona. ( :o I know right?) But silver has always been my favorite color on the Charger and so thats why I give the slight edge to your buddys car.  On the other hand, the blue is a close second so maybe blue on a 500 trumps silver?  Can't help it, I guess I just love them all.

I see the young ladies are sportin' the "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" tags!!! :nana:

Ghoste...I dont agree with A4 or X9 for that matter unseating a 500 with the big chrome air cleaner. :scratchchin:
wingless now, but still around.

Ghoste

Silver on a 69 carries a pretty big hammer for me because of personal reasons though.  I fully expect no one else to agree but I do expect greater flack for liking 500's better than wing cars.

FJ5WING

I like 500's just fine......I love the simplicity of them which is funny because of my FJ5 Superbird which is about as obnoxious as they get. :D
I really like the blue car with the magnums and red lines...there was something else about it that caught my eye but I cant remember what that is.
