Appears the guy was not happy about the deal he was getting and set the dealership on fire after driving the SUV into the showroom.

Even worse now there is one less of the limited editon 2006 Ford GT's around too.  :rotz:

I like how he wanted the cops to kill him after he got thinking about what a dumbazz thing he just did. ::)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Can't say as I blame the guy. Every Ford I have ever owned was nothing but a pain in my posterior. I have felt the same on several different occasions.

i had a ford truck with no engine or tranny, which made it the perfect ford-no leaks and no headaches trying to start it

I must have an obscure Ford then, my '95 F-150 has been pretty good so far. Has 126,000 miles on it & hasn't left me stranded except for once in my own driveway 3 weeks ago. The "original" battery finally died.

My little 91 Exploder has approximately 240,000 on the clock & it's still on it's original engine! (I love synthetic oil) I've always had good luck with Fords too.

My company truck is a 2005 F-250. It has 18,000 miles on it. The local Ford dealer had to rebuild the front end,new brakes, all new A/C system, new oil pump and new radio all within the last 8 months. My last company Ford truck was a 1999 F-150. The engine inploded with only 16,000 miles on it. I would never own a Ford for my personal vehicle.

I got in a company F250 today , fired it up an let it idle while i fuled it up (not a big hazzard with diesel)pulled out the lot an got a block before i had to call for a tow...thought i did good to get a block in a "power joke". what really pisses me off is now its one more thing on the long list of stuff for me to fix. weve got like 12 or 15 f250 diesels. the engine is actually the best part, its an international...unfortunately the fuel system is ford. most of the problems i see on them are fuel related.

69_500

Last company I worked for got me a F450 which I went and picked up at the dealership new. Drove it home, got up the next morning to a puddle of oil in my driveway. Had that truck at the dealership 19 times in the first 6 months, each time for the same oil leak. They never did get it fixed. After 2 years the truck had 50,000 miles on it and had been to the dealership for the same oil leak 43 times. They changed the entire drive line once and the new one started leaking from the same spot.

Oh well, I have a new job now, so we shall see if this one stains my driveway too.

694spdRT

I don't know about Ford truck's as I have never seen the point in buying anything other than a Dodge with a Cummins when it comes to diesel's. The last 3 Ford/Mercury cars I have owned have treated us well over the years.

My friend runs a repair shop. His mechanics sometimes wear shirts that read"Ashes to ashes , dust to dust. If it weren't for Fords, our tools would rust".

I'm not a phord fan but I must say that the F-250 pick up I drive everyday, drives pretty nice. Only has 55,000 miles. The only time it really sucks is when we get 1/2" -1" of snow. You can probably stand in front of the truck and stop it from going. The traction is horrible.

A man hanged himself in an airplane lavatory days after being arrested for allegedly driving his new car through a dealership's showroom and setting a nearly $1 million fire, authorities said Thursday.

A United Airlines flight from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles was diverted to Denver after Gerald Georgettis' body was found. The Denver medical examiner ruled the death a suicide.

Denver police Detective Virginia Lopez said no other passengers were ever in danger.

In Miami, Georgettis, 56, was accused of driving his new Ford Escape through the Metro Ford dealership's showroom on Saturday before pouring gasoline on it and lighting it. Miami-Dade County police have said he was upset about how much he paid for his car.

Fire officials said the blaze burned about a dozen cars, including a $150,000 limited-edition 2006 Ford GT.

Georgettis was charged with arson and felony criminal mischief and released Sunday on $1,500 bond.

I wish the real criminals of the world would jump on this band wagon and do the same.

It may put a few correctional officers out of work but with the money the tax payers would save we could pay them to retire.
