A driver at best and a 440 auto car but someone felt it was worth 90k in that room on that day.  :shruggy:

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

I've driven it, you ain't takin' it anywhere without pouring some money over it first.

FJ5WING

so tell us whats wrong with it, it sure looks way better than a driver, pretty close to local show winner from the pics.
wingless now, but still around.

Ghoste

Yeah, all shiny on the outside and needing attention mechanically.  Its not a POS by any stretch I'm just saying that you aren't going to jump in and drive the wheels off.

A whole bunch of stuff.  Of course the new owner may elect to have it hidden in a collection and not driven.  Maybe my description of it as a "driver at best" was inaccurate.  What I should have said was that it needs some attention.  I was using the term driver in the wrong context.

I think the 90k includes all fees because I am pretty sure it hammered at 75k.

Ghoste

Yes, but it is still what they were willing to pay at the end of it all.

I do as well as several better pics but unfortunately I can't share it.  Now if someone else out there happened to write it down at the auction, thats a different story.

Guess they should have cashed in back then in 2010. No sell at 120k.

WINGIN IT

Yeah, would definitely agree, same car.
No VIN listed on that listing either.

I believe that one is the same but somewhere in that timeframe there is another orange Daytona  that went unsold once or twice or maybe it sold the second time, I forget.

:popcrn: So UNLESS this car has historical issues, it looks quite nice and seems to support many of the "not met res. bids" on ebay daytona's in the last couple yrs.  What I find somewhat interesting is if a nice restoration costs 50-100plus, the "not as nice" cars and builders remain perceived to have a higher value.  I get the rare optioned, great colored cars finding a discriminating particular buyer, but I do not get some of the remaining wide range in values between a currant buyers market and the seller prices (at times, not all).  I also understand the guy that wants to build the car and the buy as hobby toy with less care towards "investment".   :Twocents:  So are a bunch of these cars bought up by dealers and investors?

Honestly I am deep in one of mine IMO but completely tickled that I bought it, love the rarity in that cars case, but when I look at other trends in the car hobby over the yrs and what 20k or 50k can buy in other collector cars now I personally think its not done coming down and aligning with other muscle cars/collector cars......... and the next popular tend will come and hopefully not back to T-buckets.

So I do not recall such a spread on values back from 1980'-2000 as now, so what do think is causing the wide perceived value range these days?

nascarxx29

No known history as no vin to search its past with .Nice buy it looks okay need small details .
