I'm not a big fan of super birds but this thing is cool.
Saw it at a show today in Saukville WI. Looks all original and well used.

:o  Wow, nice. And still going.  :2thumbs:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Gotta love the ones that get driven.  :2thumbs:

This is a low miles car, maybe 14,000 or 15,000 on the clock.   It came up from Tennessee in the late 70's and has been in the area since.    Same owner for 30 years.   It doesn't get out much.    Headed back from Road America, I saw show cars heading north from Saukville earlier this evening and wondered where they came from.

Here's another shot with Roy and Diane, the lucky owners.  They are big NASCAR fans.

Call it blasphemy, but the Superbird is for sure the better looking of the wing cars.

To me, the Daytona has very purposeful, functional appearance to it.  Like it was meant to go racing.  Even without the superior styling cues of the 69 Charger, it just looks like it was meant for business.  To me, the Superbird, as much as I like them and I truly truly do, has the appearance of a car that marketing got a hold of and filled with nifty gimmicks.

Maybe that is why the dodge version is named after a racetrack, and the plymouth was named after a cartoon character.
What would you have done different?  Todays' technology doesn't count.  Stick with the era. A different name maybe? I would at least lose the id ads on the side.

i always wanted an orange 70 roadrunner. would probably trade my gtx for it

The cartoon graphics are the thing I wish they had used on the Daytona :shruggy:

It 'd  be my luck to go to the wrong pageant.  I have to go with the Daytona.  It came first for a reason, and it still comes in first at quite a few events show or go.
