:popcrn: Well the bad economy and mounting medical and other bills forced me to have several of my cars up for sale .  I have been talking with a guy from germany on my 69 road runner off and on for over a year .  A month ago we decided on a price . For the lover price i was able to keep the dana out of the car and swap it out with the 8 3/4 that was under The superbird convertible (birdible) . So now the birdible is sporting a Dana 60 .
Well anyway this has been a bitter sweet month as the bills have now all been paid off but now i have to say good bye to my long and old friend really a family member .  Thursday i finally got the call I had been dreading that the transporter would be at my house around 6 pm .  Very sad month and for sure a very hard last thursday .   :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Funny store (now anyway)  my son taylor who is now 15  at age two was playing around in the car . I was working on something and it was parked in my very sloped driveway .  Next thing i know the car is rolling backwards down the drive way and I am chasing after it.  Luckily we live right on a cul-de-sac and it just rolled out into the middle of the street and stopped .  Wow that was scary. Well when my oldest Quintin son was 16 he would always bug me to let him drive the car . Well taylor who was 11 at the time would always rub it in that he had already driven the car   :nana:  It was at least a year later that i finally let quintin drive it .  Well i thought it was fitting to let taylor be the last one in the family to drive it and his first time behind the wheel of a muscle car and plymouth .

This car is so reliable and we as a family have been all over the country in it .  It truely was built to be safely driven anywhere and we did .  Sadly it became religated to pretty much a garage queen the last 4 years after the rebirth of the birdible so really i guess it was time for the car to goto a good home where it would get more attention .

The car is not a perfect show car , but it is a very nice reliable driver and does still show very well after 17 years since its last restoration.

It always hurts to see the first one go.  It's a good excuse to get two new ones.

Sad day indeed, but as long as you have your health, you can always get another one down the road, some day.

Sorry to hear it left. At least it went some where where you dont have to see it and what the next owner does to it. It may hurt more to be reminded of it.

Bummer Stu. Sorry circumstances forced you to downsize. Look at the bright side. At least you had the RR to help you out. It would probably feel worse if you didn't have something to sell to help relieve the financial burden. Hopefully things look brighter in the future and you are able to get another one, even though I know it won't be the same.

P.S.- Keep the guys number and tell Q to start saving up so he can surprise you on your 65th birthday by buying back your car for you. :2thumbs:
