Thanks guys. I see with this one it doesn't look like they painted the body color correctly around the tail panel, eh?

Thanks guys.  It's a work in progress.  Been putting most of my time (which is limited) to the Charger :2thumbs:).  It's no where in the condition I want it in, and my list is HUGE, but I and the family enjoy it.

Mine will be painted very soon, in final stages of primer. As close to qq1 as possible, the interior won't be done until next year. hafta refill the change machine. I'll try to post some pictures when he paints the jambs. :2thumbs:

Not sure I know what you mean, what about the paint isn't correct?

This car has been for sale for 3+ years. I have pics when it was stuffed full of parts and he wanted 24k.  Wish I had stupid money because the fender tag of that car is exactly what I dream about!!!

The black area of the tail panel on a 68 is contained within the trim. On a 69 there's no lower trim piece so the black goes down behind the bumper.

Thanks all. I've been debating in my mind about taking mine back to original, which is QQ1, white and blue interior, white top, no stripes, column shift automatic, with hub caps.

Car was painted ford grabber blue in the 1980's by a previous owner. Hot 440 installed with Hurst floor shifter and high stall. Leaf springs moved inside frame rails. Driveshaft loop. Electric fuel pump. Milidon oil pump with a deep oil pan and braided hoses coming out of it. R/T badges on the doors. Custom vinyl top (one seam in the middle of roof) and custom white and silver diamond tuck interior.

I think it would be worth more in original shape anyway. This was dad's car that he bought when I was about 8 in 1992. I told him not to buy it at the time, lol. But this car got me started in Mopars. He mentioned painting it back to original a few times before unexpectedly passing away in 2003.

Hmm......

It's a beautiful combination that's for sure.  :popcrn:  I always like factory color combinations and even more so when it's the OEM configuration.  :yesnod:

Thanks guys. I see with this one it doesn't look like they painted the body color correctly around the tail panel, eh?

I emailed the owner and pointed out the tailpanel.  He emailed right back and said he'd be taking the car to his painter to have that fixed, he hadn't noticed.  Still a nice looking ride.  I'd love a white interior but I drive the car too much to have it looking good for very long.
