....for the wife. Shes been wanting an old hotrod for a while and my friend has decided to sell a 67 Baracuda, at a ridiculous low price.
Its a 225/auto, white interior and I couldnt find a spot of rust anywhere. Its pushed back in the corner of his basement so I couldnt see the other side. What do you think? How many were made with a slant 6?

:2thumbs: please define "ridiculously low"  :D

Can't go wrong for that money. I love early Barracudas!

I don't know body breakdown and not even sure on these numbers but all I could find for slant six production in 67 Barracudas was 4,948 with a manual trans and 11,450 with automantic.
Remember Ba-ba-ra-ra-cu-cu-da-da?

good price.which roof of the 3 does it have?    rag, fast or notch?? they look great in red,and a slant auto is aaffordable fun combo for running around.. but most likely manual steer an brakes?   great car, have fun.do split pipes and mags and have a blast. :2thumbs:

Sad thing about A-bodies is depending on which side your on, the selling or buying, Parts are cheap, Cars are cheap, but come time to restore them, they are just as expensive as the rest. Only thing is, when done unless it's got a pedigree like a Hemi Cuda/Dart, or 340 4-speed, etc; they aren't worth anything but to the owners.

Been trying to give away a 1968 Dart, 2dr sedan with a BB on Nitrous that ran 6.80's 8th mile, set up and running..Drive the thing onto the trailer, Over $15K invested (no way in hell you'd ever build one today for that), but yet, it's still a Dart 2dr sedan. Just wasn't as "Sexy" as a Charger/RR/GTX/etc. Good luck.

You're right Cooter.  I have a buddy with a 69 Dart rust free Texas car but its just a 318 plain Jane car.  He isn't a car guy, he just bought it because he liked it but he can't understand why people aren't shoving each other out of the way to be highest bidder on it now that he wants to sell it.

Sounds like a good deal to me from what I can see. If you can afford it & have the room for another car I would go for it. I'm sure someone will offer you more if it doesn't work out for you.

That's my favorite Cuda body style and I'd love to have one. But finding parts for them can be a real pain.

Im going over to his house Saturday to pick up a 440 block and the wife will go to check it out. Its hers if she wants it.

The car has been sitting in the basement for the last 12 years. My buddy bought it from a guy in Cali whose grandmother had died and left it to him. Only problem is the guy never found the title.... so my buddy needs to find a way to get a title before cash changes hands.

jaak

I've always liked 67-9 Barracudas. Missed out on a solid 68 coupe a couple of months ago, wished I would have bought it.

Good luck,
Jason

That car is old enough, you may just need a bill of sale. :Twocents:

UPDATE:

Just left my buddys house. The wife bought it. Pick it up as soon as he gets the title took care of.
Its not a fastback though, its a notchback. Lot of paperwork in the dash, including the certicard.  :2thumbs:
