Don't let the Nay sayers detract you Cody, you can do ti as I've restored ALL my cars that are/were that bad and they ain't "Worth" nuthin' either. I don't see time as "Wasted" if it's what you want. Money/Flipper guys will always put down the rusty hulks. It twould be great to begin with a rust free car, scuff it down, shoot it, and dump in an engine, but some of us don't have that luxury do we?
I like the way you tar everybody with the same brush. If a car was not restored your way, everybody is considered money/flippers guys that put down rusty hulks.Your not the only one who busted their knuckles late at night working on their charger.

I thought it was a 3 speed?

What's with that brake pedal?

I had some NOS tail lights I scored from Natcho many years ago for my '70 V code Bee.  Ended up selling them to make a house payment when cash was low.

I do have a NOS chrome piece for around one of the tail lights that I also got from Natcho.  PM your address & I'll send it to ya'.

I'll put it this way guys. What I have planned for the car......this one is perfect for it. I need nothing but a bare shell as a starting point. Also, it was even more bare of a shell when I got it but I ended up getting all those parts pictured including both blue fenders, tail lights and the rust free hood for pennies. Being a young gun you really learn the watch deals and get shit cheap.

Never meant it that way slick. Maybe you "B" readin' more into that than was there?
Tis what was posted. Flippers don't sell Rusty hulks as they don't bring money.(Last I checked, it really wasn't worth it to make only $50.00 on a wreck to a flipper).I see no problem with that statement there. Maybe you've flipped a couple roaches with success, but usually, they tend to be Really nice finds sold at profit only, and anything else is a Roach/Rough/too far gone/parts car/etc...And for the record, I was talking to CODY, not "Everybody else"....Hope I helped you understand my meaning there.  :2thumbs:

Can't understand why your bustin' my balls, at least I never said he was waisting his time, car was a parts car, etc....
Tis good to see someone restoring something like I usually have to start with.. I wouldn't know how to act if All I had to do was scuff and shoot.

I will refrain,
Back to normal conversation.

Good luck with the project Cody.  :2thumbs:

You know, just once in my life I'd like to have one of those scuff and shoot cars, no rust and everything there.  Just once.

I still ask why?  :scratchchin:

Beautiful pictures though man....the countryside is beautiful to travel so it looks like you guys had a great road trip...! :2thumbs:  It would be even better if you netted something more than a rotted out basket case 318 3-speed parts car. :'(

Sorry dude it looks like fun to a novice but I'm being honest with you... :yesnod:  This car is way to far gone to be worthy of restoring -  and there's no documentation, collectibillty, or resale value assocated with it once the bills start piling up...  :brickwall:

Restoring this car, any time and money you spend will be completley wasted (compared to starting with a nicer, more complete car to work with).  :scratchchin:

Don't make life harder than it is. :icon_smile_wink:  If you must have a 1970 Coronet, consider starting with something better.  :Twocents: :Twocents:

I couldn't have said it better.    Cody, I do applaud you for your enthusiasm.    It seems you have at least a couple of projects already.     Nothing wrong with stockpiling for the future, but I don't see much upside in this particular one.   Even the fuel expense to go and get it is several hundred dollars now lost that could have been spent on your Charger.    It's always fun to get something new, but keep your eye on the prize.

Can't speak for all the naysayers but I will say that Tufcat is neither a flipper or a money guy.  He really is just trying to be a devils advocate for Cody and watches his back for him.  That said, I pat you on the back for it Bronzy.  It's going to be a tough one to do but even if you find it can't realistically be completed, you have an awesome road trip to remember and that hulk is going to teach you lots.  Just do your best not to get in too deep financially with it.

Hopefully I won't get razzed to hard for this... but thanks to Shawn (ghoste) and (Bill440rt) because you guys summarized exactly what I meant.

We try to help Cody because we've all dreamed of doing stuff like this before.  In my case I can tell stories of having been there, and having done that....sometimes more successful than others. :P  Basically each one of us had our share of "Cody enthusiasm" in our lifetime, or we wouldn't still be here playing with Mopars. :icon_smile_wink:

I wonder if John Lennon knew this could somehow happen with old Mopars as well. ;)
