In the Mopar Muscle Oct 2012 issue Hodden treasures....  I need help with trying to find out why the holes are in my Quarter panels are or for. The wire isnt cut for aftermarket wire harness for extra wires. I talked to Galen G. the last time he was at Chrysler at Carlisle show around 2007 he did not know or he didnt want to tell me/wanted money for information.

If anyone has any good information on what the holes are for please let me know.
I tried to post pictures but Iam sure someone can for me on here or at least read the magazine...

Thank you.

I'm confused about holes in the 1/4 panel versus wiring.  Are the holes through the panel to the exterior, is it an RT with stripe delete?

moparonecharger

Did you read the magazine? it is a 1973 charger rallye.  It has the rallye stripe and it looks like the holes were drilled before the stripe was put on.

Those holes are the optional air holes so your trunk monkey dosent Soffcate.  :icon_smile_big:

:shruggy: seriously I have no guess other than someone needed to vent the trunk  so they got creative and wanted to hide it in the stripe :brickwall: maybe they were hallen chickens or moon shine or something.

Can someone on here help post the picture of the holes...

Thank you!!!!

Are the the holes for the rear side marker lights? I haven't seen the magazine article but I do have a unrestored '73 rallye. If I knew what you were looking at I would be happy to go out and look at my car, take some pictures and then post them up for you.

I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!

Worth checking out the article. I've never seen anything like it. The holes are drilled in a perfect pattern, someone went through a lot of trouble to make it look right. Great car!

Definitely weird, but nicely done if I remember the picture correctly. Stumped me. Looks like someone had some sort of plan.
