Have changed the gearbox on my -68 Charger, got a replacement box. The guy who got my old gearbox found a No. 9B 295523 he says it belongs to a -69 Hemi car. Is that true? Grateful for answers.

 :iagree:

That's the only number I've seen for a 69 Hemi, either Dodge or Plymouth.  It does appear that you're missing a digit, there should be seven numbers in the part number (295xxxx).  There is a good chart here- http://www.mymopar.com/downloads/transguide.pdf

9B 295523 is the partial VIN of a '69 car built at the Hamtramck plant, not the part number. Is the "gearbox" standard or automatic? An automatic will have the part number stamped in the pan rail just below the shift lever.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Check with Chris at the 1969 Charger Registry, he may know of the car it came from.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Dont have it as of yet....Like John stated above....partial VIN....not necessarily out of a Hemi car
