Good luck with your recovery Jacki.  I am in the same boat with bulging discs in my neck and narrowing of the nerve canal for my right arm.  Some days it is hard to control my hands to keep them from shaking.  My pain is constant and I am stuck at home until the neurosurgeon decides what approach they will take on my neck.

Keep in touch.  My family sends our thoughts and wishs for a quick recovery.  Robert

Sorry, I haven't been around. I'll catch up on my thank you e-mails. I haven't been on the computer in a couple weeks. I wish I had some good news. The back pain isn't any better . And my leg swelled up since the doc took me off the crutches and it hurts like crazy. I go back to see him the 14th. I also see my family doc the same day to get a referral to a neurosurgeon. So hopefully thinks start to look up. It's just getting depressing. I really appreciate all your support and friendship. It is helping me get thru this. I can never thank you all enough. Hugs, Jackie

Hi Jacki
See if you can get a referral to see a pain psychologist,  they can help you find new ways to cope with the pain, they will manage your pain medication as well.  I am still waiting to hear back from my neurosurgeon this week, it has be almost 3 weeks.  Robert

Hey gang,
I just got off the phone with Jackie. No good news yet. Her family doctor pretty much said 'Yep, the leg is swollen, come back in six months.'

She is still in a lot of pain from her back also but he did not offer any solutions. She is going to start to using the crutches again to see if the swelling goes down, but that recommendation came from her pals, not her doctor.

She is frustrated, in pain & depressed. For the first time since I have known her she was crying on the phone. She resists posting here when there is nothing positive to say.

So, please keep her in your thoughts & prayers? If you have any medical advice or something supportive or whimsical to cheer her up, I think she needs us more now than ever before.

Hi Jacki
I am going in for another injection on Monday, hopefully I will get some relief from the pain.  I have been trying to get this appointment for a month now and have just been able to get sleep at night.  I have been sleeping in until I awake on my own which I haven't been able to do for ...... about two years.

I know how it feels to be in pain and not getting any direction from the doctors.  I wish you a happy Thanksgiving next week and hopefully you will find some relief from your pain.  Everybody here at dodgecharger dot com are pulling for you and hope you find some relief soon.  Robert

Jackie, I'm in health care and may be able to offer you advice on what to do next but I would have to have a little more info regarding your health issues.  This is absolutely none of my business so I understand if you do not wish to share.  Feel free to pm or email me.  mistervis@gmail.com

Hi Jacki
I am resting today after my injection at C6-C7, it went quick this morning with other patients arriving late so I was moved up 1/2 hour early.  I will be talking with my neurosurgeon with the results of the injection.

I hope you feel better soon and let us know of any news.  Robert

Thanks, everyone. I'm hanging in there. I just got back from picking up my MRI's . I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon on Nov 26. So I hope he figures out something. THe run around I'm getting from the orthopedic docs is a nightmare.  :brickwall: Thanks for caring and all your support. Hugs, Jackie

Jackie,

I too feel like I am getting the run around at my orthopedic dr.  They literally checked me out for like 5 mins and told me, "well, if physical therapy seems to be working, continue it.  If not stop and we will try something else."  He didn't even want to look at the x rays or other report from my Phys. Therapist or Chiropractor.   :brickwall:
