anyone using the Rev-N-nator box?

Just curious if anyone is using this new Mopar ignition box. Seems kinda pricey but is it worth it? I think Natcho has one but he never replied in the thread..

Nacho has one yes, but I thought there was another on the site who had it also.  There were several interested but not many stepping up to the plate as I recall.

IIII'M PLEEEEENTY HAPPY...

some advices from Troy are totally valid. Like, the old FBO coil doesn't match good with the Rev-N-Nator. Already prooved. Had to change to MSD 2 blaster coil. The FBO coil began to fail after 3 or 4 weeks working with the new module. That was the reason for the hard cranking sometimes when hot, and some missfire increassing RPMs AND tach reading failure.

I was referring to the "wow" comment after that you didn't post in the thread and someone started to wonder if your comment is meant sarcastic maybe.
anyways it seems like everybody is happy with the new box. It is kinda pricey but if it works like a MSD or better it might be really just worth it.

is the idle quality really that much better?

well, I replied that ( there is a second page on thread )

works like a stock piece and revs up like the wind, without miss a beat. The starting up and missing some beats problems was FBO coil related. Got back the MSD 2 Blaster coil installed and everything back to normal.

I wouldn't say works like a MSD since is not multispark. I never have mounted a MSD on my car and I don't think will do ( although I have an Original MSD unit with ECU plug in hands, model MSD6C I could try without cut any wire just rewiring some stuff ), so PERSONALLY I can't say anything about if is better than a MSD. But I trust on diagrams posted by seller and shows to be same or SLIGHTLY better than MSD, being a plug and play piece a plus.

It depends on how you define better. When you consider the ease with mounting a plug-n-play MP-style box, and the issues related to wiring and then adjusting the MSD once they're hidden, there's a good argument for this new thing if it's even almost as good.

I do like the multi strike for starting and eliminating the need for the ballast with the MSD but that stuff comes at quite a price.  Be interesting to see if this thing catches on.
