I just purchased this thing today. However, it does need a little sorting out.

This "THING" today? lol Looks solid! Hope you're happy with it and happy sorting! and is that hole where a HEMI badge would go on the door?

So what's the story? How did you find it? Where? Is it home? Who is putting it back together? Got all the parts? What other options it got?   :2thumbs:

Good looking project.

You're going to have to downsize the whole turbin thing though, if you intend to get in and drive it when it's done...

The sword should fit in the trunk nicely...

It came up on Moparts a week ago & it was only 15 miles from my house. I looked at this car nearly 20 years ago when I didn't have any money & I always wondered what happened to it. At the the price I just bought it for, it was such a deal that I just couldn't let it get away. 22,000 miles, last registered in 1969, m,atching numbers, PS, PDB, P windows, radio delete, console, rear shoulder belts, all original sheetmetal, etc.

I wouldn't throw the turbin out just yet.  Wear it while working under that thing..........it will cut back on the cuts and endless bumps to the head that you'll receive every other minute.
That way you can remain scabless.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Sure am. Looking at it now, doing over the Daytona last year was a just a practice run for this.

He bought it in 1983 from the original owner, took it apart 20 years ago & had the body done about 8 years ago. I got the impression that he couldn't wait to be rid of it.

That is great to hear. I know someone that kind of just scored a ride of his own like that. Owner wanted $4500.00. We went to look at it & my buddy said I have $2000.00 cash & will take it home right now. We did not know it at first but the gentlemen lost his job & needed the cash & regretfully accepted his offer.

That thing underwent a rotisserie restoration which was completed last winter. I guess you could say that the Daytona was just a refresher course for the '68. Gawd, I'm such a glutton for punnishment.  :P
