I meant, what kind of stuff you fix once in a while and you never stop to fix, up to get you kinda mad ?

Myself ? the exhaust pipe to manifold bolts/nuts getting loosen constantly untill sometimes even lost the nut on the road. Not even using the marsden nuts worked.

I have to fix some stuff that is getting me mad too, like the differential noise or buzzing ( dunno how you call it ) what SUPOSELLY was fixed by a tech ( was reduced but not fixed, and now is comming back to an anoying situation again ), pinging but looks I'm getting close to fix it... also a vibration on drivetrain when I'm getting close to 110 MPH what I'm pretty sure is on the tranny itself, maybe tail housing.

It looks the LCA bushing is also some what constantly requires attention

sometime ago, ECU modules and alternators

myk

I just spent a lot of time and money fixing up the car so I'll have to get back to you on that.  Right now, everything's good, but it's going to take some time for me to run into all of the operational bugs that typically drive us nuts; it'll take even longer now that summer's over, the car will be driven less, etc....

need to note, my car is a driver ( gas is cheap around :D )

My damn differential, rebuilt my 3.23, the thing makes MORE noise. I buy a rebuilt 4.11, and it makes all kinds of different noises, depending on the speed and if I let go of the throttle.

Pisses me off to no end, and there are no reputable diff guys nearby....

The fact that I can't find anything to do on it. lol. I check it over every day but it's perfect!
I need something to do, I can't sit still. I think I'm going to have to start another project

Any project that has to be redone because of some stoopid mistake or overlooked item. It's one thing to tear into a project firsthand but to have to redo something that is now painted, detailed or whatever just plain sucks.  :brickwall:

What i don't like about Mopar's is the electrical/charging system. Just when you get confident in driving the car the voltage regulator dies ,orange box dies or the distributor craps out on you. The list of parts in my trunk keep growing.

I was on same boat around 2 years ago and also last 6 months trying diff performance ECUs with prooved durability quality as you could read on diff threads I started, HOWEVER I NEVER THOUGHT on get something is not stock look. Non Perf ECUs however worked nice.

Alts was kinda the same untill I made to find the solutions... also talking about the same, stockish look. I'm practically 100% happy at this moment with what I have found, specially locally. ( NOS 100 AMPS ALTS ON ORIGINAL CASING, ALTHOUGH LATERS 70S LOOK... and cheap ). I never have got a damaged regulator though :shruggy:

Try double nutting the bolts.   The 2nd nut should keep them from ever coming loose.

The eddy carb is still giving me some grief but nothing major really.  If it was that bad I'd have the TQ rebuilt by now.  The only thing I don't like is the whining rear end.  Only happens under load, starts around 25 mph.  I always thought it quit around 45 but now that the exhaust leak is fixed I can prety much hear it all the time although at 55 you'd have to pay real close attention.  Not sure if I can fix this but it sure is annoying to listen to.

The fact that I will have to take the cluster out again to recalibrate the gauges and fix the circuit board is one that makes me quite nervous.  The bezel still looks good but it's now starting to show some nicks and scratches from removing it so many times.  Once all guages work as they should I'm redoing the chrome on them once again.  Not this year though.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

My biggest annoyance is the rear axle noise. The gears were new and perfect, until the axle was disassembled to be powder coated. I would have told them to wire brush it and paint it instead, but I wasn't consulted. When reassembled, the gears landed in a different place and even though I did my best they're still noisy-a little. Not enough to harm them or make me reset everything, but annoying nevertheless.

Oh and my stupid oil pan leak. And my stupid power steering pump shaft seal leak.

Okay...insanity is fixing the same thing the same way and expeting a different result.

1) tuning the carb to remove the hesitation on take off
2) the drivers door window channel noise...I can't get the door to quit ratteling
3) Dash electrical issues....it is good for the moment but the weekend  is coming...
4) driver side door alignment issues...I go CRAZY over mis matched gaps

and the big one...

Oil leaks drive me nuts! Fix one and another pops up some where else. Vibrations! Drive line vibrations are the hardest thing to solve. Especially when some one else did a drive train swap and didnt make sure it was in correct alignment. Holley carburetor that constantly needs idle adjustments (every change in season). But in the end I would do it all over again.
