I bought a 426 Hemi crate motor used for $11,500. I was from Indy cylinders heads 540hp.

The guy is full of it.

I know where there is a 426 hemi with an automatic transmission attached. It is installed in an old farmall tractor !), or at least it was when I last saw it in the corner of a warehouse at an old feed mill. (I am not making this up! He used it in tractor pulls)
The engine appeared to be complete...the old guy that owned it said it was original carbs, etc. If the transmission is correct for the motor, and I can get i bought, what would the value of this combo be??

Why would you say that? It's a used Hemi - probably made out of a new cast block without any sort of date code. I'd be leery of paying any more than about 50-60% of retail so that price seems in line.

It's worth way more to the guy that has the Coronet and need the engine with the number.

68 date code, worth whatever someone wants to pay for it. Maybe it's right on.

If you just want a Hemi it's over priced.

i would take it if it were over here
