1969 Charger R/T - What is Worth - Non Matching #

I recently got into a '69 Charger R/T that has been restored to some degree.  It's in pretty good shape with nothing extremely major needed.  Interior has just a couple small tears in inconspicuous places.  The exterior only has a couple bubble spots around the rear fenders.  The engine is a 440 Magnum, but not original.  I've decoded the fender tags, so I know what "was" original in this car and what is different now...

Car is running and has only been driven roughly 3k miles in the last 10-12 years (after the engine and tranny were rebuilt).  I know that this isn't a "serious collector" car, but I was looking for something to actually enjoy and drive around 3k miles per year.  I'm new to the classic car area and wondered what you guys thought the car is worth.  I'd like to know if I paid a decent price.

I will post my purchase price later...as I'm wanting a few unbiased quotes thrown out there first to see what they look like.

Thanks,
Bradley

Can't add pictures.  I've been trying for 20 minutes over and over...I think I'm partially insane.   :brickwall:

Keep getting message...

Sorry! There is already an attachment with the same filename as the one you tried to upload. Please rename the file and try again.

I've tried renaming all my pictures and uploading one at a time.  Still get same message no matter what.  Any ideas?

Make sure the pics are below 200kb each and give them a unique name.

I have done that, but I keep getting the same error.

Well, that worked.  No idea why my car pics will not.  Let me start back from scratch...

20'ish K

Appears the engine bay and i'd assume undercarriage had not been redone.

An RT with right motor without being matching is allways a good buy, looks like it been around the block a few times :drive: if you did get for under 15k you made a score :icon_smile_big:
Looking for 383 Magnum #0B196875 and 0B115166

Great to hear.  I paid an even 12 for it.  I've got an old school mopar mechanic going through it today.  I'm anxious to chat with him after he does...

Obviously, I need a '69 grille...and from the looks of it, that part doesn't come cheap.  :scratchchin:

Thanks for the quick info.  It really didn't matter if it was a good deal or not, I just had to have it.  However, knowing it was a decent price makes it much sweeter.

Good deal for $12K

The grilles can get pricey yes but not as insane as what that taillight trim's gonna set you back.

The engine bay doesn't look like anything has been done.  The undercarriage has had a black undercarriage coating applied.  New trunk pans and floor pans had been installed.

From my short time spent scouring the internet, it looks like the grill could easily cost me 1000 - 1500 by the time it's done.  I'm seeing tail light bezels going for $375/pair.  Neither is something that I'm excited about spending money on, but from the looks of it, the tail light bezel is much cheaper...

$1500 gets you a restored grille, top to bottom but all you need is the center section, everything else is the same.  You should be able to find one used for a few hundred.

I thought the $375 was per bezel, not pair.  It's better but still way overpriced.

I agree.  They know they've got you.  It's kinda like when your AC goes out in your house...they charge whatever they want.

I've been having trouble finding a used center piece.  I've been searching hard, but only for a few days.  I figure if I'm patient, I'll eventually find one.  Remember me and let me know if you ever come across something...

They are out there but not all too common.  I actually need part of the center section as well, one side of the honeycomb to complete my spare grille.

I would definitely put an ad in the wanted section here, you may get lucky.

are you gonna sell it afterwards to make double? I bet you would..... :scratchchin:

Only if I could roll the profits into another good deal on a Charger (maybe a different color, too).  I wanted a Charger.  That's more important right now than the extra money. Thanks for all the replies!

Just found some bezels on Gunslingers website for $160/pair.  Much cheaper.  Anyone have any info on these???  I've got an email in with them right now asking for pics.
