I would love to but can you even do such a thing without getting in trouble with the law?

There are collectors of Emergency vehicles around that take them to car shows all the time.
I'm sure the decals for the doors and trunk lid would be the hardest to get.

I'm police probably would not be happy seeing it go down the road but as long as your not being iresponcible and you cover the lights and maybe a out of service sign in the windows there is not much they can do.

If someone was going to do it for real it would probably be wise to talk to a few people that have replica or collectable Emergency vehicles to see what they do to stay below the radar.

I'm not sure how the EV comunity would react to a police car creation.

Here is one web site I found

Im an officer and I've been thinking about trying to get my department to help decorate my charger that way for the christmas parade. I think vinyl wrap would work fine. Just not sure if the department would fund something like that in this economy. Would definitely be a cool p.r. thing for the kids to see.

What's that company many of us have bought repro labeling and stickers from? Is it ECS? Anyway they might comp a PD door decal for such a PR event. Worth the the recon.

Actually I was making a sly comment on behalf of all of the new generation Charger owners.  Remember some of the comments about the Charger nameplate now being used for law enforcement when the four door version came out.   :D

Actually, the CHP didn't change to 4-doors until '60...previous cruisers were 2-doors.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

The hottest Police cruisers I remember (from growing up in Pennsylvania) were the early 1970s Fury IIs.  They had the biggest Thermoquad carburetors I have ever seen before or since (1100 cfm, is that possible?). A close friend of mine ended up with one at an auction, a dark blue 1973.  The car was shockingly quick, even with all that weight.  When we were in collage in the in the late 1970s, all the small town cops in Western PA were using small block Chevys (mostly Impalas) and I can tell you from personal experience, they couldn't touch that Fury.

Of course, the hottest one ever was the interceptor from DMCL, it's top end was "unlimited".
