Recently I was reading up about Karen Carpenter. Kinda cool how she was from New Haven Ct as so am I. I found a site from her brother Richard and he listed his car collection.  If you scrowl down he shares information about them like how bad he wanted a 68 Charger,  but knew it wouldn't do well when it came to loading it up with Karens drums and his keyboard. Or the RR and how a Hemi was to much money at the time.
Great read and pictures. I can't post pics from my phone. Someone please do.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

His cars got a fair amount of press back in the 80's.    I guess they are sort of being rediscovered by people again.

Yeah this was new for me. I did a search first and didn't find anything on him in this section. Man he has nice stuff. Can't believe he doesn't like the spoilers on the Hemi RR?

My car club (CPW) got to go on tour of the collection (its not open to the public) a year or two ago. Some really nice stuff there, not just mopars. And most of them are black  :2thumbs: He also has some cool newer stuff too. Ill see if i can dig up some pics.

Didn't he sell a Hemi Cuda near the top of the price bubble and got insane money for it?

nice collection, however i would have only ALL Mopars, I like the 71 Road Runner best.

The Road Runer is nice but I still have to go with the 68 Charger.  The red bumblebee on the black. :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

as a mopar nut, i would have a few different if i had a large collection, but i would still want others, like a 70 fast back mustang, 67 gto, 69 nova, 55 ford  just to name a few. :yesnod:

69 Nova?  :slap:  at least go for a 69 Chevelle SS 396 or 427 vette.  :shruggy:

my preferance would take me toward a 66 chevelle 396 and have never been a fan of the vette. i only like the 63 split window style of the vette.

Most people don't even remember Karen was an insanely good percussionist. She could have went head to head with any drummer from any era. Her gift was a natural sense of time that allowed her to perform these crazy exotic time signatures almost effortlessly.

this was about two years ago. Not the best quality, but at the time I still had a crappy dumb phone.

Great pics thanks for posting. Yeah she was a great drum player. I saw some videos on You tube. And a voice so beautiful while beating the drums. Her brother said he believes she could of been a stay at home mom and died of the same problem.
