Anyone running one of these?looks like a performer rpm.I wonder if
a stock magnum air cleaner on this intake will fit without hitting the hood ?

It is the Performer RPM

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

And as far as hood clearance, it will likely interfere if you dont use a drop base air cleaner.

i'll hold out and try and  find a action plus.

Ghoste

You sure?  They're a great piece.

Here is my torker 383 intake, 1 inch spacer, 4779 holley, standard base cleaner with filter top. All fits under the stock hood. Also have solid motor mounts so I st a hair higher there too. The performer can't be taller thn a torker

Ghoste

He's talking about using the stock air cleaner though.

71bee

Wonder if that intake & a stock air cleaner housing will fit on a 383 with a '71 bulge hood? anyone try this?

Did you grind off the Edelbrock logo and rough up the area to hide the evidence before painting?

Nope, i also have Edelbrock heads and very few people ever notice.

I saw the heads looked too smooth to be stock but I couldn't see the eddy logo in the pic. Very nice sleeper look.  :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:
