Okay guys, I'm now the proud owner of a 1972 dodge Coronet and am just getting into classic cars. What are some basic, not too expensive modifications I can make to it for improvements in speed, cornering, etc.? I'm already planning on getting a 4-barrel car, new headers, and a set of Flowmasters for it. Anything else you would suggest?

Good ignition, electronic and get the distributor curved.  Proper tuning is so overlooked and so cirtical.  Make sure all the usspension bushings are good.

Get 3:23 gears with about 26-26.5 inch diameter tire + a good tuning best bang for the buck if you don't have them already.
