Doesn't seem like a bad deal and they definitely make for a cool ride.  If it appeals to I think you should get it and finish it off.  He says he's fairly negotiable so go in and low ball him and see what happens.

Hell if I had the 6K and the space I would pick it up-it does have a good setup and could be a lot of fun.  I would paint that thing to look like a sleeper, uncork some cut-offs and torch everyone at the stoplights...
