I'm getting ready to order a set of Magnums for my 74 Rallye Charger. I'd like to hear any opinions about using the chrome 15X8 Magnum wheels compared to 15X7s.

Any recommendations on where to buy from?
Thanks!

15X8 will look better and fill the wheel well better if you put 60s on them.

15X7 would be fine on the front but you'll be sorry if you don't go 15x8 on the rear.

i am still pissed that i have 15 x 7s all the way around, its hard to get a decent sized rear tire that will fit on a 15x7 wheel.i currently have 245/60 r 15s,which look great on the front, but kinda small in back

Thanks for the info. 15 X 8s or larger it is!  What's the largest tire or wheel/tire combo that will fit under front fenders? Maybe a 16 X 8?

Andy, i've run a 275/60 on a 7in rim in the past with no problems. The tire will bulge a bit but it works fine.  ;)

I too have run 275/60s on a 7" rim with no problems. But, if you don't already have the wheels, why not buy a more appropriate size up front? Right now I run a 255/60 on my front 7" rims and the 275s on the rear 8" wheels.

Agreed  :yesnod: My response was to Andy who has 7in wheels currently and wants to upsize his rear tres. A 15x8 is ideal for the 275/60 but a 15x7 will work...that was my point.  ;D

Is anyone running 8 inch wheels on the front? If it's possible I'd like to run 8s front and back so I can rotate the tires. My back tires wear out a lot faster than the fronts. :icon_smile_big:
