Need you opinions. It seems I have the chance to pick up a 72 340 duster. Its an orig 340\727\ 8 3\4 car.  Nothing too special, column shift, buckets. Small cam, runs 13.9s. Body has the typical rustissues but its all thre, tagged, runs and drives.

My belvedere has a super clean chassis, built 440, built 727, built 8 3\4. Rollcage, coil overs, 4 wheel discs, fuel cell, elec pump, blah blah blah, lots of other stuff. Its 90% done.  Only body issues are in the door corners and the 1\4's are bubbling over the wheel lips.

I'm thinking about offering a trade but I keep the 440 or else we trade and I get some money. What do you guys think?

Depends on how bad you want an a-body 340 car. Me? I would swap if I got enough money to mostly redo the Duster.

I like the Duster. Cool little cars when done up right. Then I'd shelve the 340, dump in a 440 and have some serious fun, but that's just me.

I wouldn't even consider it. It's all about what you want, though.

If your tired of playing with the Belvidere let it go to someone else and get a new toy. Pics of both cars would be nice.

I have yet to tag the belvedere. I already have the coolest B body ever built (69 charger of course). I can take pics and post of the belvedere. I have none of the duster but it is a guy at work. Its black on black. The rockers are rusty, it pretty much needs a typical mopar resto but the frame is solid, all cosmetics. I've always liked th dusters. If I get it the 340 would stay and a 4 speed would get mounted. Already got the big block car.

If you already have the Charger and your B-body heart is mainly there, let the Belvedere go.  Keeping the 440 is a good idea too.

myk

I dunno, man. Post up pics of the Belvedere and the Duster when you can...

No way I would trade for a rusty Duster. But that's just me... :shruggy:

A well done Duster is a nice looking car though.
