how much would you pay for nos quarter panel?
also, is it worth the extra cash or go with AMD full quarter?
thank you.

I can feel the circling overhead  :icon_smile_big:
Its probably cost prohibitive for the NOS. For AMD talk to this guy: www.512restorations.com

In my opinion if you just need one piece of sheetmetal and it's a quarter, go NOS. If you need multiple pieces then go repro, it doesn't make sense to me, to put one NOS part on and a bunch of other repro. Price wise is a personal/budget decision. I'd pay upwards of $3500 or so for a good NOS quarter. The differences in fit and quality aren't much, the repro's are actually very good. So, for the money, you'd save going repro you have to ask yourself if the NOS one is worth it. Just my  :Twocents:

I just went through this on my car. I've got one NOS quarter panel and one AMD.  I had the NOS one for years, and paid about what the AMD ones cost now back when I got it.

If you need a quote on an AMD part, give us a call. We sell alot of it and are very competitive in pricing.

myk

If the AMD stuff is just as good as the NOS then I could/would never justify the cost of the NOS panel.  Can anyone even tell once they're hung up and painted?  Just my opinion...

think it depends on the car &  what equipment  you have !!  if your going to  plug weld it on  , would not waste money on NOS ,  IMO they  should  only be spot welded like or as close to how the  factory done it  , its a waste other wise  :Twocents:      :Twocents:      get a AMD  or just a skin if your needing to patch stuff  :Twocents:

Hello,
I like your question "what would you pay" it is more realistic for a guy like me than
what is it worth.  NOS parts for the rare cars and high end restorations would pull
far more money than I could afford.  So for me double or maybe 2.5X AMD prices for a
single quarter.  If I could buy a pair I would be willing to pay more but that is what I
could afford to be able to say I have NOS quarters on my car.

he is asking 2200 for it.
if he does not take lower offer i will go with amd.
thank you guys.

Just watch it. Many of the NOS parts that are available were originally rejects or have been carted around for so many years that they have lots of "shelf rash". If it's in good shape I'd have no problem paying $2,200 (the CBD quarters were almost that much when they were released!). I wouldn't spend that much unless the car was rare enough to warrant the expense AND if I were putting NOS everywhere else on the car.

If it's a driver's side and you decide not to get it I would appreciate it if you'd pass the information on to me. It's the only piece of sheet metal I need for my 4-speed R/T (which, amazingly, already has an NOS quarter on it - but now it's smashed).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

If you have a rust free all original sheet metal car and need only one 1/4 I would go with the NOS if it has not been BEAT UP.
Here is how the AMD ones fit. This 70 had AMD EVERYTHING shot at it so keep in mind that the AMD may or may not have the same issues when married in to the DETROIT steel.
