Can anybody tell me what a fair price is to have a 26" Radiator Re-Cored, completely restored and Painted? I know BrassCopper is at a high now. I received an estimate of $550. which I thought may be too high. What do you think??

Thanks,
Joe C NY

I was quoted $450 to re-do my OE 22" radiator in one of my 66's.......I went with a 2 row aluminum one off ebay. I still have the OE one in the garage

Joe, not sure where you are in NY, but I just had mine done in Rochester from BJR.

They do excellent work and was $319 + tax - triple core for my 73 - 28 inch rad.
For me it was worth the drive down the Thruway.

bull

My 22" cost me right at $500 but it's a bucket header and that added to the cost. And then I had to paint it myself.

And in case you think $500 is high to restore one, have a look at the reproduction prices: http://www.hemiradiators.com/proddetail.asp?prod=22RADBB http://www.hemiradiators.com/proddetail.asp?prod=26RADBB
