Hello, I have attached a link to the radiator that came in my 69 Charger when I got it.  It measures 22" wide and the mounting hole seem to match up for the top holes.  The top to bottom mounting hole distance on the core support measures 14.5" and the radiator bracket is about 13.75".  Since the bottom holes are notched out to allow the radiator to slide on, I am sure I can make it work with some large washers...... but I am looking to buy a shroud and I don't want to spend the funds on a radiator that just doesn't belong on my car.   :shruggy:    Is this the right radiator?????  Any help is very much appreciated..

There is a link to a site that will give you the info you want. Someone else will have to give you it, I do not know it right know, there are numbers stamped into the top of the rad. that will corespond to the chart. That is if the rad. was not changed out at one time. The people on here are very knowledgeable, can get just about any ? answered.  :2thumbs:.

Here are the rad numbers from the 69 service manual. Is your number shown? If not, what is the number on your's?

ODZKing

Do you have the build sheet?  The last 2 numbers of the rad core should be on that.

wldside

Unfortunately, i dont have a build sheet and for the life of me I cant find any numbers on this radiator.  This is not a numbers matching rebuild, so  it is not imperative that it is the exact radiator. More important that its the right size.... The locations seem off to me, just not sure if its suppose to be that way.

Thanks

Thanks. This may be a stupid question, but the mounting holes on the cars support are 24" apart... Does that mean that a 26" radiator is out of the question?

Thanks Again

ODZKing

If they're 24 it was more than likely a 22 inch.
Do the numbers on the rad support match the SO number or the last 5 of the vin?
If they don't, it's not the original support.

wldside

Just checked and the #s on the radiator support do match the VIN #.  So i need to stick with a 22" radiator.... There are no #s on the radiator, from the pic does it look correct for a charger?  Where would I mount an aftermarket shroud to?

Thanks so much for all the help.  :2thumbs:

If there are no numbers on the radiator it is most likely an aftermarket replica.  A lot of those out in the 70's.
Anyway the shroud "should" mount to clips on the side of the radiator brackets.
You will most likely need a kit like http://www.megapartsusa.com/proddetail.asp?prod=101-FS9176
I know, pricey but they are about that everywhere.

The brackets (link) that ODZ posted above should work fine for mounting the shroud. Mancini show's the same type of bracket on their website.  :yesnod:

Dave, if there are no stamped numbers on the upper tank then the rad is most likely a reproduction part. The only thing that is slightly off is the upper rad hose location. Yours is towards the center of the tank and most that i've seen have the upper hose inlet over on the passenger side. Will it work ; sure it will but you'll have to find a rad hose configured to that combination.  ;)

I've seen your style rad before but i'm pretty sure it was in an earlier style b-body ; maybe 66-67 ?  :scratchchin:
