How are you guys scooting the rear bumper in so as to eliminate the gap left after removing the grey plastic filler?

You need to replace your rear bumper brackets with 71-72 bumper brackets. They are shorter. You will also need the shorter gas filler tube that they used.

The 71-72 brackets are the way to go on the rear.  I modified mine, but it was a real pain.  I just left my gas filler, didn't interfere with anything on my car, but they are all a little different.  The front you can use your brackets, just drill different holes in the brackets.  They look much better without that grey crap anyway.
