aftermarket tach

Can't remember where I got it. Clock is working,lights up. Hooked up the wire from the coil and no go. Does the 12v switched wire have to be hooked up for this to work??
God must love stupid people....he made a sh**load of 'em....

Not sure what model you have but I know mine needs 12 VDC along with the (-) coil connection.

If its an OE style tic-toc-tach it's pretty hard to get wrong, 12v constant for the clock (white), 12v accessory (blue) for the tach and signal (gray) from coil.

Yes 12v switched has to be hooked up for the tach to work.

Are you running an aftermarket ignition?
