71 Charger Fender Replacement Advice

getting ready to change the fender on my 71 Charger. The car is a driver. What order should I go in to make this as easy as possible. Thanks guys

I'd pull the front bumper/grille as an assembly, then pull the splash guard that protects the leading edge of the door. There's a nut hiding up in there that points downward. A long extension and a sidewinder ratchet are golden for that one.

Doesn't look like much holds it on, I hope I am not missing anything.

I was out looking at teh car tonight and would it be easier to remove the bumper brackets from the bumper side or the frame support side ?

There are a couple of heavy duty rod rod-like pieces that connect the top of the bumper/grille assembly to the fender. Unbolt those, disconnect the wiring, and unbolt the brackets from the sub-frame. Have a helper, it's a reasonably heavy assembly. Biggest problem with Charger fenders is they are so big. If the front bumper assembly's been tweaked at all, it can be difficult to pull the assembly without scratching the front pan. Up to you if you want to remove that first. I can usually get the front bumper out without scratching it, but almost never get it back in the same way. Even though it's harder to get at the front pan bolts that way, I usually install it last.
