I see a few of the same names here form years ago when this forum was my home.

Life has a way of making you change directions and unfortunately my wife (at the time) made me sell the Charger to pay some bills. Of course, now she's an ex and I miss the Charger more than I could ever miss the ex. Anyway, I have a few parts hanging around and thought maybe someone here could put them to good use. Side and grille emblems NIB, a window vent frame with glass, rear seat for a '69 never been used after reupholstery, a complete heater/ AC box in need of rebuild, '69 taillights in good shape, rear quarter interior upper pads, 915 heads needing rebuild, dogdish caps, master cylinder for front disc conversion, etc...

I don't mean to sound like a used car salesman here, but I'm moving and can't keep storing this stuff and figured I'd give you guys a shot instead of ebaying the stuff.

If anyone is interested, email me: zankichdesign@yahoo.com

BTW: I'm looking at a 440 / 4spd '69 RR that is near perfect condition for $4k...guy needs the money. It's plum crazy, but I think on a Mopar I can deal with the purple...

Take care guys

Damn, I've looked around a bit and see all my old buds. It's cool seeing all the old artwork and avatars I created still being used. I miss this place. Damn I need a Charger, but finding one a decent price is impossible these days. I need to be careful how much I hang out here or the bug is going to bite me hard.

Hi Bill, good to have you back. I would be a new guy.  ;D  Nice to meet you.

Sorry to hear the all to familiar and sad story of your Charger. You should stick around and find yourself another one.  :2thumbs: :icon_smile_wink:

What shape are the 69 tail lights in? Are the tabs that hold the stainless trim on all busted off?  What are you looking to get for them.

OK, it's been a while since I even looked at the stuff. I know that one of the taillights has no broken tabs and the other I think has only one broken tab. I also polished one of the lights lenses but not the other. There aren't any stress cracks or "spidering" in either of them. I can take pics this weekend and get them to you. Send me an email at my address above and I'll email you photos.

Bill, It has been a long time.  The board is still the same, with a few new faces.  Some of the same old political and religious "discussions" every once in a while with the socialist lurking about.  :icon_smile_big:  Best of luck to you in possibly getting a Roadrunner.  Not quite a Charger, but at least it is something. I still have all of those. I'll give them to Troy or Chris to use on the forum...maybe others would like to have them. I have to go through the archives...give me a few days to find them.

Will do Chris. Good to see your beast is still looking as nice as ever.

Ya know I've been married 3 times and went with a number of women as a single man and I can't remember a one of them that had a piece of tail good enough to make me sell any of my cars let alone one of the Chargers.  :rotz:

Hey Bill.

I was just talking about you here.  We were reminiscing the old board.  Do you remember what new year's eve it was that we were trying to hit 500 members'?
Do you remember what year the old forum started up?

TK (Chris) is still here.

Stick around, Troy threw out the old requirement to own a Charger to register what with the new 4 door and all.   :insertsarcasm:

But it's moot because the rent-a-car "Charger" is so boooooooring that no one talks about it here anyway. :nana:

Anyway, welcome back, Bill. Are you staying this time or are you just here just to raid the fridge, use the toilet and then leave again?

Life is a highway...

ChargerBill

Long story short, wife hid that she had become addicted to pain meds and was popping Vicodin and Hydrocodone daily...stealing it from med cabinets. Also had a $16 a day cigarette, energy drink, energy tablet and chewing gum habit...do the math, and lied that she had quit smoking. Lied about spending money, refused to cook dinner, was an OCD clean freak / germaphobe and was so angry and uptight all the time that she had IBS and/or constipation daily. She was a gem...lol. Shows you that the pretty ones aren't always a prize.

My daughter had a baby 4 months ago and is suffering from severe postpartum depression, so I am raising my granddaughter at the moment. I'm currently a parts and service manager at a very large, nationally known RV dealership. I get paid peanuts for what the job is worth, but the paychecks are steady and I really need something reliable and steady right now.

I'm currently restoring / rebuilding the 1956 Chevy pickup that I got from my grandfather 26 years ago. I'm doing the entire project on my own and have so far rebuilt, restored or replaced every mechanical component on the truck. It has a high compression '67 Vette 327 putting out close to 400hp, a 4 spd Muncie M22 Rockcrusher, front disc brakes, front and rear swaybars, a 10-bolt '83 Z28/Cop Caprice posi rear axle, dropped 7 inches in the rear, 6 inches in the front (not lowrider style - hot rod style), is running polished Ansen wheels, etc... (sorry, I know, not a Mopar and not a Charger, but it's what Ive got to play with for now)

A lot of good and bad has happened the last few years, but I'm alive and kicking, so I can't really complain.

Good to hear that you're managing fine despite all the termoil.  :2thumbs:

Congrats grandpa !

Post some pics of your project when you get a chance....i'm sure your Grandpa would be proud & pleased with the work you've done.  :coolgleamA:

ChargerBill

I missed you guys too. I spent a LOT of time in here a few years ago.... I guess losing the Charger was a bigger blow than I thought it would be because for a while I couldn't even look at them without kicking myself in the ass.

Life goes on...the worst that can happen is we end up 6 feet under, and that's going to happen no matter what, so why stress and worry?

The body is off the '56 right now...I decided to make it easy on myself instead of trying to work around sheet metal. Besides, I'm not as flexible and resilient as I used to be, and haunching over a fender or contorting to reach a hidden bolt and snap, my back is out or I've pulled a muscle. I could take pics, but it's apile of parts at this point with a clean frame and axles. The engine is on a stand, the Muncie is tucked away in plastic, the radiator is out being pressure tested, and I'm waiting for a fuel tank that I'm installing under the bed so I can get the old one out of the cab. I'm not modernizing this thing in many ways other than safety (disc brakes and gas tank) and convenience (hidden hook-up for my iPod)...I'm trying to stay as 50's / 60's period correct for a hot rod as I can.

I will post pics when it starts going back together...
