From all the looking that I've done, even though it's not number matching, and the interior needs to be done, seems cheap...with no reserve even? Thoughts? I'm gonna call this afternoon and see what the hidden story is....

HERE YA GO....Trying to figure out if I should fly there, or pull the trigger. Just not to keen with buying without seeing.

Not a big 70 fan here but its still a 2nd gen... It does look nice but it also needs a complete interior and from the looks, it has just had a paint job.

Maybe consider something like this unless a 70 is what you want.

yeah. So the engine and transmission that are in there now are matching 69 440 R/T. The block is not a match to the car...but it is a 70. With all the other 70 parts for the engine..it would be pretty sweet I think....hm.

rick.d

I noticed it has the "Tuff Wheel" and a build date of May 1970.....if that is coded for the tuff wheel, that would be scarce...from the pics it looks like a good deal. I would see if they took pics prior to and during the fresh paint job so you can see what it looked like before paint.

The VIN # on the block is from a '70 built at the St. Louis plant......not a '69 engine at all

70s are beautiful guys! Regardless, it does seem like a really good deal or there is something seriously wrong with it.

Is there anyway to tell if it was coded for that if he doesn't have the build sheet (which he doesn't) he doesn't know if it came that way, or if someone in the past added them on.

Seems like a good deal to me  :popcrn:        Go call up Legendary or find a 30% off YO sale and buy some interior stuff.

You could always swap out the fenders and grill for a 69 and then use that big old 70 grill to plow snow.  ;)  :nana:

Dude I almost choked on my cookie here!    :smilielol:
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Just read a bunch of his ebay feedback. Sells a lot of car parts, and cars for that matter.  Everyone says he describes things as they are, and is a great ebay'er (not sure that's a word) Guess I'll buy some time...have more time then money and see what I can find this weekend with some help from Dino!

myk

Looks like a solid deal; the interior is a non-issue to me and can be fixed in a week.  That low price has my spider sense tingling, though...

Looking at the dates, it would seem DodgeChargerNeeded bought it from that CL ad, and the OP didn't take the ad down yet.   Probably because it's a car lot and is still ringing the phone for him.

One of my best friends could be considered a flipper.  It's not very often though that he'll sell a car right after he's bought it.  He spends a good amount of money on most of them.  No kids so that's his hobby.

I love it cause there's always something he takes off them that I can use.
