My 383 has developed a metallic tapping noise. Sounds top end. Here's a video of the sound... Any ideas or where to start?

Hi

The first thing I would check is the exhaust manifold/header nuts/bolts are tightened and the gaskets are not blowing. I had what I thought was a top end mechanical noise on my 383 but turned out to be the exhaust manifold gaskets blowing and had to replace them.

Is it the irregular tap tap that happens 4 or so times in the first part of the video or some other tapping noise?
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....
