68 Charger - Want to re-wire entire car, best harness?

My 68 Charger is plagued with wiring gremlins and I'm sick of it.  I want to re-wire the car.  The car has an electric fuel pump, electric water pump, and electric fan.  Are there any factory fit kits that have room for these add-ons?  If I put a Year One kit in, I will have to have the electric fans, fuel & water pump wired separately which seems silly to do if I'm rewiring the car.  Painless needs all the connectors taken from my existing 44 year old wiring, which also seems silly.  What have you guys done?

I ordered all new harnesses from year one. I waited till I got a 30% off code and it definatly helped alot. The company that makes them is called m&h I think if have to check to be sure and in at work now. I can't say enough good things about those guys. The stuff looks great and they have the best customer service I've revert experienced hands down. I would buy anything from those guys!

I second that, YearOne, M&H and waiting for the 30% off, I did the same.

I tend to agree the M&H harness is the best , you have a number of other issues though .
I would start by adding a relay bank wired off the start relay battery terminal , this will shunt power from the battery straight to high draw accessories that you have added .
The second is to add a direct 8-10 ga wire from the alt output to the start relay battery terminal to bypass all the bulkhead plugs & ammeter etc so the load is not overloading factory wiring designed for lower current .
The third thing you must check is that you have enough amperage from the alt to support the additional accessories , I did an EFI RR a couple of years ago , it had 2 fuel pumps , 2 electric fans , electric water pump & the EFI computer & the battery would go dead while driving as the draw was more than the 60 amps or so the alt could generate at max output .

I used a painless kit - reused my older factory connectors - It was easier in the long run instead of spending $1000+ just to modify it ...    I am running electric fuel pump, power windows, EFI, and will be running a couple other things - So I wired it per my car...

ISIS is great - but it came out about 3 months after I wired my car...    DOH!

I like painless over most other aftermarket systems.

M&H is awesome at what they do - downside is you have to get raped through YO to get the harness.

Thats a fact.  Its too bad M&H wouldn't let that agreement go and sell their harnesses through anyone.

YearOne bought the rights from Chrysler for the (original color and plugs) wiring harness. They outsource it to M&H to produce, not cheap, but worth it.

Painless, EZ, and maybe the ISIS system if you're going to rely on this thing to get you through your daily grind.  If you're going for a 'resto then Year One is the only alternative...

i have all 3 harnesses from year one, wonder if i just delete the little fuse box and run those wires into a larger one to allow for more upgrades later if it will work ok??

that way i can have all the specific wires for the 1st gen dash and headlights but still have only one box instead of a 2nd one for everything else??

i was thinking of getting one of those fuse/relay centers from a late model car to run all the power/relay switches through, have to find a small one that i can hide though, anyone ever do this??

this would work for 2-3 gens easier i would think so it would apply to everyone

where's Bryan when you need him....................

Ah, so that what it is then?  Never knew that before.  Thanks, not that it matters much but still interesting to know.

Yeah - you can buy all the other harnesses through Evans wiring except the under dash harness - I believe YO bought the rights to the factory stuff.

I have simply removed the old fuse block and terminated the wires to a smaller ATO style fuse block to get rid of the glass fuses...    I hate those things.
