It is your car, if a RT/SE with a sunroof is the way you want it, then install it.  I wouldn't if it were mine :Twocents:  That being said, I own a Daytona clone that started life as a 69 triple black RT/SE :shruggy:

I agree, "clone" up something less rare. :Twocents:

One more vote for cloning up a different car.

A sunroof is one of those things you use a few times & when the novelty wears off you stop using it. If you have big hair or are 6' or taller, the loss of the headroom needed for the sunroof will make the car feel chopped. But, if you are "vertically challenged" that would be less of an issue. How about just selling the sunroof & using the money towards the restoration?

If you've got it, use it. Your opinion of the car is the only one that matters. If I had it, I'd do it!

Do what you want to -  if the next owner (if there is one) doesnt like it he can buy a new AMD roof skin and remove the sunroof.

Do it.

I started with a 69 RT SE.

Grafted a factory sunroof on it.

And then made a Daytona out of it.

Interesting point but what about the future owners? It's one thing to disclose these changes after you make them but you can't control the ethics of any future owners.

Dino

Start restoring the car first, it'll take a long time and it'll be easier down the line to decide what you want to do with it.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Leave the car as is.....save the sunroof for an actual sunroof car.....

Exactly... have a new fendertag made, add the sunroof code to broadcast sheet.  In for a penny, In for a pound lol....
All kidding aside, my thoughts go right to what the other guy just said about the novelty wearing off.  I have a sunfroof in my 02 tahoe.  In 7 years I don't think Iv'e ever opened it other than to see if it still works.
