Definately worth $2500!
Buy that car or tell me where it is and I will buy it!

plum500

Hey he's got 73/74 front fenders on e-bay -- perhaps he'll deal on the car and the correct fenders?

Either way, I say grab it too. Looks like lots of potential for a nice ride -- very least a shame to see it parted.

Holy hoods!!! Is that for sale???

Telvis

Definitely worth making a driver. If you don't want it put a 318 in it and sell it to someone who really wan'ts one. Maybe you could make a few bucks along the way.

The Ghoul

my suggestion.
buy the car
swap the hide aways, doors, hood and what ever else onto your car.
put your stuff onto this car and use the roller method to pint it :icon_smile_big:(still want to see if that works!)
get the car running sell it off on ebay (dont bother with the floors)
win win, you get the bits you want, maby turn a little profit, and another mopar is saved. I think the 'if you dont buy it ill chop it' threat is bull. he might do it but then again he might just be saying it to pressure you into buy it (to keep it from being chopped)

That was my first plan when I saw this car. But I got yelled at when I suggested the thought :icon_smile_blackeye:

Yes Plum500 That is a real '71 R/T hood and it is for sale. It is almost mint! He also has the metal lovers for it and the correct inner piece. He said he is asking $1,800. for the complete R/T hood. I actually told him, if I don't buy the car, I might get the hood.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

After hearing you have the resources i suggest U git it.  :icon_smile_big:
But i wouldn't wanna be the fellow bringing THAT "solid project" back.  :rotz:

I`ve never given a  rats ass what others think i should do with the cars that i buy. Nor would i bother to ask for opinions.   I have always been amazed at how some people can form such strong opinions based on a picture or two. Enough is enough, stop the dilly-dallying and buy the bleeping car.  You keep humming and hawing around and someones liable to snag that puppy before you get around to making a decision. Not trying to be an ass, but i can tell you for sure.... that when opportunity knocks you best have cash in hand and be ready to say YES.

TruckDriver

He is giving me til this coming Tuesday to let him know. I should have my tax money back by then too. That's when you guys will find out.  :P

unless they want to buy the car and restore it.... screw them.
I admit its a bit sad to break up such a decent project but as long as you dont hack up the shell it will be worth it to some one as an r/t. they would still want it without the hood and doors.
buy it, if any thing to turn around and off it for more $ finders fee.

chrisII

after our conversation tonight i wont be suprised to get a call on tuesday that i have a charger to haul. something tells me that getting near this guys place is guna cost me $$$ initial plann was i would take some cash also, but now im thinkin i better not, can always make another trip, its less than an hour from here. impulse buys can be a killer. an im already spendin 3g on a duster this week

I gotta agree with the rattle can fix up and flip it on ebay, doesn't look in that bad a shape and someones always lookin for a 3rd gen. driver !! Use the dough to fix up your existing charger, no brainer for me.

just my  :Twocents: though
Oh No!!!!! HLPEG IS BACK!!!!! Beware! :icon_smile_big:

Being that your a 3rd gen guy and the price seems good from what i can judge in the pics I would buy it unless its a real piece of dooky, bring it home and keep it for awhile. If it grows on you restore it, if not flip it. Either way you cant loose with the way prices are and youll get some arousement out of it for awhile. Ive been kickin around the idea of lookin at a 71 Demon near me here that was just advertised as having no rust for $4g obo. The wife keeps saying i have enough room for my cars, this will give me the excuse for the bigger garage she keeps fighting with me over. ;D

Good to know you listened to me for a change.

You would not have been happy with yourself if you passed on this deal.

doors won't fit on his 72.

IMHO:

-the car worths a rebuilt. I see it very nice, in fact better that mine when I started. I don't think $2500 is a lot expensive, but maybe $2000 will be better if doesn't include anykind of engine.

-If you decide to parted out sure you will get back the investemnt only with trannye, rear axle, hood and rear valence. and still will have a lot of parts and more money you paid.

but still vote to get it back to life

I am going to restore it now and I am getting a 400 with it too. I wanna get my '72 running before I get deep into this one though. I need correct '74 fenders for this one, a radiator, shroud, engine wiring harness, and a lot of misc stuff for under the hood. I wanna find correct '73-'74 paint type mirrors for it too.
