What about that junker Bee he has.  Someone could prolly use those frame rails??  You could make some $$ there to help pay for the other car.  I'd want the '74 just for the hidden headlight assembly.  All third generations should have them,IMO.
If you got him down to at least 2k, I think it would he a heck of a deal.
What year 400 motor, you got yourself a stroker candidate possibly.

There are parts of the frame rails that he cut up and from the axle hump forward, its no good. His selling price was $2,500 firm. and the 400 is another '74 engine.

Buy it, sell the non 74 parts to bring the cost down, buy 74 parts and fix it up.

That car is cool looking.  I like the color and stripes and hood, and the slots and big tires are cool looking.  Put as little as possible into it to get it a driver, buff out the paint and polish the rims and fix the rear quarter, detail the car, tires, interior, have a tough car to drive around, sell it later if you like,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

Glad you decided to buy & fix it up. You made the right decision, IMHO.  Another cool car saved from the chopping block.  :2thumbs:

I regret to say this, but I probably wont be getting the blue '74 Charger now. My van which already has issues (rear brakes & power steering hose), has developed a heater core leak. I have to fix it asap even though I didn't wanna stick any more money into it since I'm going to get rid of it this fall when I move to Georgia. But, I gotta have heat this time of year. I still could buy it, but if I still would, I would be finacially over my head. It really Sucks, but I am going to see if the guy will sell me the hood yet off it since he is going to part it out. Maybe I can get a decent drivers seat too. This might be a blessing though, because now I can concentrate again on my '72. But I feel like crap cause I did want it, and then telling everyone, then nothing. Sorry guys  :-[

Bummer.   Just wear long underwear, ski gloves, hat, scarff, etc., forget the heater core, in the summer you won't care and you will have the new cool Charger.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

how much is a heater core? maybe 35 bucks or so. takes about an hour to put it in, no big deal there. add another one to the "i Could have, I Should have, I Didn`t"  list.      I wouldn`t  let a $35 heater core keep me from getting a car I wanted.

what year van........i'll find you a heater core and ship it out to you........don't let that car get away man
