I'm agreeing with the majority on this one.
An untouched, all original car with only 46,000 miles on it?? LEAVE IT ALONE!!!  :yesnod:

If you do swap wheels, I would go with something period correct: Magnum 500's, Kelsey-Hayes, dog dishes, etc. An aftermarket wheel might look out of place if everything else is bone stock, IMHO. Same with the tires, a set of redlines would look awesome! Check out Diamondback Classics, they make redline radials if you're worried about driveability.

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL car!!  :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

Beautiful Charger, Great find ! don't get rid of those original wheels if you decide to put new wheels on it. that is very low mileage, any rust issues anywhere ?

I am most likely going to put cragar ss wheels on it with BFG tires, I will never get rid of the original wheels. There are no rust issues. Just a couple bubbles on the bottoms of the quarters.

If you need to go aftermarket you can't go wrong with the Cragar SS on a 2nd gen.  Oh, and levae your username as is and as for that 68... WOW!!! :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

Nice.  :2thumbs:  As others have said keep the originals if you change the shoes. And as it is all original take a boatload of pics of every angle and every location on that beauty. Good to have an unmolested baseline for your records.

Great find, I say just drive it but then again a new set of wheels and tires would look awesome  :2thumbs:

bill440rt

That's exactly the same color combo my '68 used to be when it left the factory. Triple green.

first off, i would not "flip it" that seems to be what a lot of folks do, keep it drive it and enjoy it. For rims it would be a toss up, but here are my thoughts,

A. reproduction Kelsey Hayes recall wheels with red lines. ( i know they came out in 69, but they would look great and most people do not know about them they would get a lot of attention.

B. Cragar SS with nice white letter radials .

C. American Torque thrusts as stated already.

D. new duals with flowmasters and factory tips out the back are a must.

Same here ! Nice to see what mine looked like from the factory because it had allready been painted Black when i purchased it from the previous owner  :yesnod:

The OP's car is exactly the same as mine was originally ; 383 2bbl, air conditioning, PS, PB etc... and the same light green paint.  :icon_smile_big:

Congrats on the purchase, very rare to find them that clean and original !  :coolgleamA:

I PUT IN A BID ON THAT ONE BUT WAS TO LATE! LOL  :RantExplode: Now I know who bought it! :icon_smile_wink: ENJOY! Are you from Nebraska?

Back N Black

I saw the pic on the e-bay ad, beautiful car! I don't know why people get hung up on wanting a R/T or a Hemi car, when a nice car like that comes along for less than half the price of a R/T or Hemi in that condition.  :2thumbs:
