Anyone had one stop working ?  I have been swapping out alternators trying to get the system to charge so as a last resort I put the old style regulator in and  it starts charging.  The regulator was in the stock position so I wouldn't think it got heat soaked. Having said that it has 17K miles on it.  :shruggy:

Same style but for  69 and down with two wires that hook into the wires for the old regulator.

BRAIN DEAD for a second on the wires.    YES that is the one.. I just realized now it has been on there since 95 when I put the car together so it might have died of  natural      causes. :slap:

we used those on marine charging systems all the time...and we replaced them all the time as well......they never held up.

there are electronic ones out there that look exactly liked the point style 69 & earlier ones...available at most parts stores....just make sure it does not have the 2 resistor coils on the rear
