I have a 1969 Dodge Charger and was wondering if anyone can tell me where I can find info. that will tell me which cars have parts that will fit my 69?

There is a book called Mopar Muscle Cars Interchange Manual that is helpful.  It may be out of print now.  There are also the Hollander interchagne manuals that a lot of body shops a salvage yards use.

Or you could ask here. ;)

Parts that I know are unique to the 69 Charger: headlight vacuum pods, grill center section, grill trim (except 'C' shaped ends), hood (although a 68 will work in a pinch), hood latch mechanism, tail lights, side markers, front fenders (again 68 parts can be made to work), seat upholstery, and front interior door panels. I'm sure I'm missing some.

Most anything on the drive train, suspension, and unibody framework (underside) is common among 68-70 B-bodies. Even the cowl, windshield, and vent windows interchange. Outer sheet metal, for the most part, is only roughly the same for 68 and 70 Chargers - but the 70 has a completely different front end and the 68 has different marker light and reverse light openings. Basically, the windshield back on a 70 is pretty close. A 68 is closer than a 70 in front but not exact. The interior doesn't share much with anything else other than lock knobs, window cranks, inner door handles, console components (not 68 top plates though), armrests, radio, and carpet. Rear upper door pads from 68-70 Chargers are the same (perhaps a grain difference?) but the front pads from a 68 are different (70 should be ok). Bucket seat *frames* should all be the same for 68-69 but went to high backs in 70. Rear seat frames are the same 68-70 and may also be the same from other b-bodies (not convertibles). The rally dash was used in Chargers, Superbees, Roadrunners, and I think Coronet R/Ts (possibly optional?).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Likely the fastest, cheapest and most accurate method anyway.

Thanks,
I was hoping someone might know of a link or books that I could get to have on hand as a reference.
Kinda like that book that they were using in Graveyard Carz.

wtf ? $95.00 ?   I have one sitting on my shelf I've never even opened...
1968 Dodge Charger - 6.1L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.55 Sure Grip

2013 Dodge Challenger R/T - 5.7L Hemi / 6-speed / 3.73 Limited Slip

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye - 340 / A-518 / 3.23 Sure Grip

I never even checked the link but 95.00 is insane.  And absurd.

Simply supply and demand. It is out of print so the demand can only go up.

This Paul Herd book http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0879388897/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all, which I also have, and while also out of print can be had brand new for $337. Makes you wonder....  :icon_smile_big:

The "Grain" style dash plates were only woodgrain if you got the "SE" option in 1969. My 1969 has black Grain-Pattern dash plates on it as it is a regular R/T, not with the "SE" option.

Will the following unibody parts from a 4door 1969 Coronet fit onto my 2door 1969 Charger?
Or where can I find out?

front and rear frame rails
rear leaf spring mounts
trunk pan
trunk floor extensions
inner and outer wheel house
front and rear floor pans
floor pan supports
torsion bar crossmember
inner and outer rockers
upper and lower radiator supports

Thanks

No- goes...
Trunk floor and extensions
Rear floorpans
Rockers

Something else to keep in mind is that 4 doors and wagons have different windshields from the 2 doors.

Ok I just looked in the AMD catalog and verified that the trunk floor pan and extensions are different. But it does not show a difference with the rear floor pan (under the rear seat) and the rockers.
Or AMD doesn't make them for the 4 door?

Just remember, unlike the sister/brother Mopars Like the RR, GTX, Coronet, Super B, etc; Mutha Mopar didn't make no Converts, 4drs, 2dr sedans, or wagons in Charger form to rob the front clips from.

OK, clarification...
The rear of rear pan (under the seat) is the same.
The rear floor, between front pan and rear crossmember (in front of rear seat) is different.
