Rant of mine

Jim, I've said this before (several times) and I'll say it again now. You crave attention, negative or positive, and so you create drama to be at the center of it. Everyone likes positive attention but most are able to wait their turn for it and earn it. They'll finish a project or part of a project, post results, answer questions, get input, share tips, get praise for a job well done, etc. Or some who don't have projects will post funny pics, nature pics, interesting links... and through that process they get positive attention whether they seek it or not. Your need is quite different. Yours is apparently a subconscious need and when it decides the attention tank is too low it forces you to post something just for the sole purpose of getting attention no matter how inane, amateurish or crazy the topic is. Your conscious mind is then shocked when people tease you about your posts but secretly your subconscious mind loves it and your empty attention tank is refilled. And so you perpetuate it again and again. It's a vicious cycle and yet you can't seem to stop repeating it.

I've only been a member here for 4 years, but in that time I can tell you I've had 100 conversations with Steve, and can tell you that he's a great guy... This obviously got off to a rocky start....  Maybe if you offered Steve an item as a peace gift, like a vibrating couch, things could go back to normal.

Now I have to run, I just realized I left the gate to my pigeon coop open.. I'm in big trouble.

bull

I agree. Steve is a great guy and he is so despite the fact that he's been through a lot. I won't go into all he's been through (and I probably don't know the half of it) but suffice to say I could easily see why his patience would wear very thin with someone complaining constantly about such trivial things. IMO it would be like a WWII vet listening to a 24-year-old pansy moaning about the fact he has to work 10 hours a week to pay rent for his mom's basement.

I think Steve is a great guy also.   A couple years ago at M.A.T.S. I had a bad back.  Steve felt so bad for me he took me back to his hotel room and spent SEVERAL hours rubbing hot exotic oils on my back til I fell asleep.   Most members here wouldn't rub my back for more than 10 minutes.  Troy wouldn't even touch my back unless I shaved first ........... but that's cool, not every member likes a guy with a hairy back anyway ........  right Troy?     :drool5:

Suck it up Jimbo.

I remember way back when I really felt bad for you. Your parents left you alone on this planet way too soon. In that dilapidated trailer with a 1968 Charger deteriorating in the driveway.

But rather than be humbled, you became arrogant. You flaunted your illiteracy and when called on it, you demanded acceptance and respect. Demanded, not earned. You pushed the envelope by being even more outlandish, telling bigger and more bizarre stories as time went on. You have been this manchild, and now you have a wife? I hope you grow up for her and before any children might come from this union.

Oh my God... I think I just spewed Chowder all over the screen... (Clam Chowder, I'm eating supper). That was a RIOT Skippy.. you never disappoint with these off the wall replies you come up with

I'm thinking, hmm. I dunno, could it be...  GOWDY?!?!?!

Steve P.

Ok, I want all to know that SKIPPY was only telling part of the truth..

1) Yes, his back was killing him.
2) Yes, I rubbed something on his back. BUT it was not exotic oils. I only told him that because of the horrible smell.. It was really something VegasMike's dog, (VITO), left in the back yard...
3) Skippy was wearing a coconut bra and grass skirt and I was a bit drunk, but when he begged me to rub his back I figured it was good for a picture or two and I believe Troy still has them.

I also might add that Lisa, (MRS. SKIPPY), sent Skip with his bad back to the living room couch for the night and then gave me a fabulous massage in the family room.. I could not thank her enough!! She did tell me not to worry as Skip would soon be going on yet another trip in a space ship and never remembers anything when he comes back. Thus the reason for the hundreds of crazy pictures we all take of our great friend SKIPPY.....

All kidding aside, I thank all of you for your support.

Skip, are you using a computer inside the space ship or is it something closer to thought waves?? ;)  Inquiring minds want to know..

Once again I recommend no trip in the desert with the Skipster..........meteor shards.......exotic oils......wouldn't be prudent.    :eek2:

To be fair to Jim, I think anyone that remembers his (lack of) spelling and grammer when all that took place, can see he's actually tried and has come around when it comes to spelling and punctuation. Still not 100% by any means but then none of us are.   :Twocents:

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Brock Lee

Yes, YEARS later he is better. But the first several years he reveled in it. When people brought it up, at first he said his illiteracy was an "accent" and "You never should make fun of peoples accents". Then it was a learning disability. Whatever it took to pass the buck, be cut slack and still get the acceptance and respect he feels he is entitled to get with minimal effort.

PS- I have been reading Jim's posts for 12-13 years now. Well before he ever started posting here. My familiarity goes a little farther back than most here. What does that amount to? Not much. I just want to be clear this is not a situation I sized up over reading a couple posts, but a decade of reading his posts.
