I guess my Chargers won't see much action until this extreme heat wave ends.  It's been 100 plus everday. Throw in the Humidity and my old ass is not going anywhere with a 40 year old car.  :brickwall:

Indeed, I've been out wrking on the house dying in thisheat wave. I've debated going to several cruises but its just too hot. The car will do fine, but I will overheat

Yeah - I feel for you guys - I'm here in SoCal and it's not too bad here at all...   can't imagine the suffering

Leaving my work last week, truck display showed 104!  :RantExplode: I'm not driving mine either, to damn hot! :flame: this winter im looking forward to having all my "leaks" fixed. power steering pump, tranny , brake booster rebuilt , steering box leaks fixed etc. these are the original components to the car and need some attention soon :yesnod: show car on the outside , original turd on the underside,  i have been told by everyone don't touch the engine compartment leave it all dirty and original paint and patina.. :eek2: i would like someday to detail the engine bay, i don't open the hood at shows just for that reason :'(

Ghoste

Yeah, it hasn't been too hot to drive my car but its too hot to work on it and there are some issues with the headlight motors I need to address.

I have only had my red 70' out once this year & that was only to put gas in it so I wouldn't run out. It is not so much the heat that keeps me from driving it. It is more of the cost factor. Seems like whenever Ii get it out it costs me 30.00 to 50.00 depending how much driving I do. I usually cruise all over the place doing the rounds to buddies houses or family members houses etc. I have been working on my Challenger all winter & most of this spring & summer so far. Maybe I'll work on it & get it out this week end.

my car has been out only a couple times this year, black on black and no air kinda sucks when its a 107 degrees with humidity, been running a sprinkler on our A/C to keep it going it got so hot the compressor shut down.

lexxman

It's never too hot,I love the heat. I don't even have an a/c unit. If I want to cool off I go in the pool or go down stairs in the basement. it's 72 degrees there now and the wife won't go there because it's too cold.

Cooler, wet weather is coming this weekend for my area.  Just be patient a few more days and it will get there too.....

It was 103 here in Indianapolis today so I took the Charger 500 to work for the day. Figured what the heck. It did fine. Now I was a bit toasty sitting in traffic at 5 pm, but hey it was a nice 125 mile round trip to and from work.

That's right and it least we can drive our chargers when it's hot. (With the exception of this weekend) it's been cold, wet and foggy here for so long now I'm going stir crazy. Taking advantage of tomorrow though and going for a really long cruise before the next low hits.

Having said that though, I'm sorry about all the wild fires. That's a truely horrible thing.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

twodko

As were the horrible floods in Oz a couple years back. :(

Like working in front of a hair dryer in the plants, the fans just dry you out faster. When I come home it's AC and a beer after a quart or so of ice tea.

I'm sorry, BB1 but do you even own a Charger ?.   :smilielol:

69_500

104 again yesterday. Took the 500 out again for a drive this time a 250 mile trip. It was toasty but the looks and thumbs up made it worth while.

Ghoste

Rained here last night and broke the humidiy and temperature so I am DEFINITELY taking the Charger for a run this afternoon.

Ghoste

Looks and thumbs up and raised blouses are all fine but ultimately, the smile I get just from driving it is the only gratification I need.  (still won't turn down any of the other stuff though  :D :D )
