We are staying close to the pool in the backyard but that option doesn't exist for us all.  I hope everyone has some form of escape.

It's been horrible at work, that's for sure.  I have my couch set directly across the AC unit at home.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Patronus

I drink 3 gallons of water a day, carry a towel to wipe the sweat, and wet a rag to wear around my neck. Really reminds me of my time in the jungle - only without the bugs.

Sitting inside with a/c blowing looking for cats in pictures on the internet.

How cool is that!

Sitting inside home. There's some Jehovas witnesses knocking on my door - I must give them credit for showing up in such heat lol
I might go in garage later and work on project. It stays relatively cool there if I don't open outside door.

In the house now. Took out two trees that were up against the house at 9am this morning and it was so hot you could hardly breathe.  Silver, here's how to keep those Jehovas witnesses away...

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

Transformer out front just melted.  Power company says they don't know when it will be fixed.

Weather man says we got about 12 more hours of this crap.  This is the waiting room to hell.

Headed back out to do some work.

I turned the thermostat from 75 to 68.  :coolgleamA:   then when the sun is off the pool I go float around in the pool with a yuengling

The heatwave has ended here (Wisconsin)
Walked outside this morning and felt a cool breeze coming from the north, 72 degree's.
Currently it's 72 and dewpoints in the 50's  :2thumbs:

what heat wave? Great weather here in Florida. (I will also have a similar answer when the thread starts this winter about how cold it is)

Well, no heatwave here unless I stand in front of the oven door when its open :icon_smile_big:
High today of 13'C , 55'F low tonight of 1'C, 34'F , had enough of this and months to go yet , another big frost this morning  :brickwall:
Got to get up there for a North American summer sometime....

I go to work. See my line has been around 104-108 degrees with no airflow, so when I step outside into the frigid 96 degree air....oh who am I kidding.there is a serious problem when you drink 2 gallons of water a day and don't ever have to pee.

Charger_Fan

No trying to beat the heatwave here, I'm enjoying it! :icon_smile_cool: I'd much rather have a nice toasty heatwave than be freezing my crack off in sub-zero temperatures. Other than half my state being burned to the ground, this has been a great summer so far!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
