727 to 46rh(518) ??

I am putting it behind a 340 and have a couple questions.

When putting the new tranny back in, do I have to worry about lining the new convertor up to the flex plate?

How much heavier is the 46rh, compared to the 727?

Doing this by myself and am worried about getting it on the tranny jack.

The 340 is weighted/balanced differently than the Magnum (I assume) that the trans originally came behind. Make sure you use the right converter/flex plate! I don't recall ever having any issues lining up an automatic. The trans is heavier - but probably not by much. Maybe 15 pounds? It's essentially a 727 with the overdrive stuck at the end of the tail shaft.
